I once won a Jeopardy-like contest and $50 by knowing all 4 Monkees.

I was proud then but now it just seems sad.

I found it. You did and I suggested that you add Pete Best. Maybe that is why Josh took this one. He is the most popular Monkee.

Most people didn't know that he was the original Monkee drummer. He was in the unaired pilot but was replaced by Micky Dolan when the show started. After the success of the Beatles many bands hired Pete Best in order to fire him and become stars.

He was replaced in the Stones by Charlie Watts, the Who by Keith Moon, The Dead by Mickey Hart, Genesis by Phil Collins, and Moxy Fruvous by Jian Ghomeshi. All but the last were considered major upgrades.

Ok, But here is my point, Jian can sing better then Pete Best, and I think he is the better song writer, too.� I am sorry, but Persian Cowboy is better then I'm Gonna Knock On Your Door.� Ok Maybe not.� But Fly is better.

But how about for pure sex appeal?

Pete Best is totally sexier then Jian. Hands down. If you know what I mean ;)

I voted for Peter Tork because I always think of the Monkees whenever I see one of those automatic paper towel dispensers that's a 'Torkmatic' brand.

um...i was looking for george, paul, john or ringo. what gives? aren't they a primate type band or was it insectoid...i'm so confused....

should i be worried that Pete Best has more votes then any of the real Monkees???
