fruvous on the radio

Now that we are deep into the hiatus hearing Fruvous on the radio is becoming rarer. I thought we might tell everyone when we hear them. I did this morning. Claudia Marshall on WFUV in New York played "Gotta get a message to you."
Five years later I'll answer the question.
A filk is giving different lyrics (often funny) to a song. Think of "on top of spaghetti" sung to the tune of "on top of old smokey."
and I switched to WFUV during the Luther Wright and the Wrongs bluegrass Wall, and was happy to hear it, until Claudia came back and said "and before that, it was Moxy Fruvous, with..."
I was going to go into the shower but I waited till after Message, then I had to wait till Luther Wright was done.
I also heard the tailend of Message just as I was exiting the Lincoln Tunnel today. They're clawing at that last grasp of existance.
I'm at FUV now and Claudia said, "You know I played that for you."

Luckily when I'm home I have WXPN, which is like Mother's Milk to a hiatus-suffering fruhead. Before their singer-songwriter weekend this year, they played "message." I caught the end of it in my car, and was very happy.

WFUV is doing a Tom Waits day and they just played the live Noise version of Jockey Full of Bourbon.
EWWWWWWWWWWW What station plays that?
I want to be sure to avoid it.

I've only heard Fruvous on the radio once in my life, and that was years ago. I wonder if I should start listening toa different station... any suggestions for the Seattle area?

Today's Question of the Day on Wfuv was, "Songs with librarians, books, or authors in them" (yes I know that isn't a question). Guess what song I suggested and that they then played.

I definitely heard MBLABOA on Iceberg (channel 85, the Canadian channel) the other day. Flipped out right then and there.
Much better than, "When She Talks." ...Have we figured out why that song exists yet?
It was developed to play to prisoners being interrogated but was banned by the Geneva Convention.

Yesterday I read this post. Last night I dreamed that I heard Fruvous on the radio.
Yep.

Type Moxy Fruvous in YouTube Search... You get lots of videos, mostly old ones or new videos to Fruvous Songs. I spent a long time watching, remembering, when we could see them live.
