Poll: Have you ever travelled to stay in the home of another Fruhead?

I might have been homeless for a few months in college. I'm not sure, because I don't remember having a place of my own. :)

I hear that. didn't we have like, dorms or something? i wasn't entirely sure.

Yeah, if I recall, we shared a room in Cedric Hall for a couple semesters. *grins*

ah, Cedric Hall. Man that place was cramped and chilly! but it was cheap sleeps, you know?

well, now that's not nice. Cedric is a wonderful car and he's still hanging in there. such a trooper after some of the trips we've put him through! i think maybe i'll give him a bath tonight. he deserves pampering. :-)

i've stayed with neal (duh), shelly, gordon, lori and steve, lawrence, and andy. and i've had a bunch stay with me/us as well: neal (duh), shelly, gordon, lawrence, keli, betsy, and rebecca...and we'll have lori, beth, and emilie and siobhan staying with us in the next few months, too.

eta:  maddie's mommy and  Master of Tools aren't fruheads, but they do frequent fhdc, so i should mention that i've stayed with both of them and had them over (in the College Years especially) many a time.

What I'm curious about is how many have been visits just for visiting and nothing to do with shows. LIke, I had a fruhead on my couch last night but it was show-related. :)�But I've definitely visited fruheads with no show involved, as I'm sure a lot of you have. I'm just curious about the ratio. :)

Well I used to stay with you, like... every weekend. And we only sometimes went to shows. :)

And dood. Manasquan. It counts, too, because my mom is a fruhead. :)

So most of the people I've stayed with don't hang out here, any more.

Off the top of my head, I've stayed with Bridget, ChrisO/Vika, and I think jen-cheesemonkey. I've probably also stayed overnight at Donna's, but I can't remember a specific instance -- hey Donna, did I ever stay overnight at your place, or just in your car? :-)

(Besides which, I'm pretty sure my Fruvisiting is simply a small subset of Donna's. So, if she ever responds, just take like 30% of her names and imagine me there too. Or less.)

I've never stayed at another Fruhead's house, but I've had plenty stay at mine: hKath, Drea, Fiona, Doug, Jordan, Nora, Karen, Josh, Amanda, Ellen, ceecee, Christy...

It's been so long, though, I might be forgetting people. :(

Well... first of all, does a Fruhead that you converted count? If so, I've stayed at Steph Strenger's house more times than I can count. I've also stayed at Lauren Seyler's house once.

As for people I didn't drag into this whole mess, I've stayed at Lori and Steve's house twice (and got sick both times!!! but I had fun :)), and Doug Sheppard's house for a week. Yay, week.

It's just because I was friends with them already. Like Ian (who is rarely on here) and Celeste who isnt on here at all.

What would the linkage be? Would there be differing strengths for things like "Frutripped together", "stayed at" (with potentially different strengths for being a host-er and being a host-ee), "tripped without Fruvous", etc?

(Completely different thought:) I could see that turning into a gnod-like project pretty quickly. Uh oh :-)

How about "slept in the same room as" and then think of a person and see in 6 degrees or less how one is associated with them.

that way we could prove that everyone has slept together ;D

I've stayed at my talcotty's house.

and I've sat on josh and sara's couch while making fun of talcott trying to talk with beer in his mouth... and lacy looked on in embarassment for him. ;-) we stayed until past midnight so does that count as staying over night?

Elise is a fruhead, just not really part of the online community. and i like LIVE with her. sometimes.

I've stayed with Nate (didn't see that one comin', didya??) and Beth. I've stayed at some other Fruheads' houses, too, but I don't want to neglect the "travelling" part of the question, so I'm not counting overnights with friends in the Rochester area who also happen to be Fruheads. :)

So far no one except Nate has stayed with me but if anyone needs some space in VT just let me know!

ok, i haven't really hosted that many fruheads staying -here- per se{teeny leeetle apartment!!}, but the ones who have stayed in my ACTUAL abode are:

i had a canadian chocolates shopping excursion and hung out with renKita and bonya at renKita's then apartment in coquitlam.

and...yeah....like lor said....have stayed in hotels with people and stuff.

i don't think i stayed at alot of people's, but i did stay in alot of hotels with like 13 people in each room :)

i've stayed at Laurie's, Hill Haus, FruWench's, Rosemary's, Michelle's....hmm, everywhere else was either hotels, camping, sleeping in cars or coming back to BG (omg bg->fredonia->bg one night we're DUMB) :P

Excluding shared hotel rooms, I think the only frugathering stays at others homes was at Gigi's, one night each for two frucons (IV and V).

Well I just ended up staying overnight at the abode of Andrea and Paul this past Sunday into Monday, which was show related. So I would consider that one time. And if you count taking a couple of subways and walking a few blocks to get to the other side of Brooklyn as having "travelled" somewhere, then I guess that would be another time where I had stayed in the home of another Fruhead. So one definitely and perhaps two.
