What's your morning beverage of choice?

I almost picked soda because some mornings I have that, but not like the old days when I had to have a Dew every morning. More often, right now, water is my morning drink.
I don't like water much. But, it's better for me.
Hey, I drink between 4-7 litres of H20 later in the day - ice-cold and mountain-spring-fresh, it's one of my favs... But, don't make me have to drink it first thing in the morning! It only has two of the ten H and on of the two 0 needed to generate the chemical I require (C8H10N4O2!!!)

During the day, I drink water and lots of it (easily 3-4 liters a day), but since this is the morning beverage, I have to go with orange juice. I just cravea glass (or mug) of orange juice in the morning. Its tangy sweetness gets me up and ready to go on most days. Though I used to be an avid morningcaffeine drinker, these days I only drink coffee or tea in the morning when I really need the caffeine boost, usually if I had only a couple of hours of sleep or am getting up earlier than usual.

but the 1st thing i do when i get to work is get a Dew. it keeps me grounded so i don't snap a customer's head off. all work & no caffeine make Snow the ber-bitch. the funny thing is that i usually don't have caffeine over the weekends.
So are you an uber-bitch on the weekends then?
Or is it simply the combination of work and no caffeine? I only drink caffeine on the week days too in the morning at work (diet vanilla coke), but usually that's because I haven't had enough sleep to function properly. Not a problem on the weekend. So my dependence on caffeine is directly related to my level of sleep satisfaction the night before. And speaking of sleep I have a bed with a beautiful woman calling me to sweet la-la land now. g'night y'all!

Coffee in the mornign is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
It is closely followed by mid-morning coffee, afternoon coffee and after-dinner coffee. However, the last few days I've been drinking water like mad. *shrug* including hot water, with nothing else in it... which is very weird for me. But I'm guessing that will pass and then it will be my coffee and me again.
.oO My coffee and me...we're the best friends there could beeee Oo.
For some reason "my coffee and me" got that stupid My Buddy toy commercial stuck in my head. :)
Word. Especially if it's sweet tea you brewed the night before.
mmmm...sweet tea without lemon. The *makes me happy* soft drink.

A strong cup of tea (usually Lipton) with two sugars and a splash of milk. Mmmm. I get very irritated at work when someone interrupts my morning tea. Frequent thought: If my tea is cold by the time we're done, you are so dead.

no chai drinkers here?
a good soy chai--iced or hot, depending on the weather--is the only way to go.
mmmm....Chai. It's my caf drink of choice but some brands are a bit too sweet for my taste. Still, very nummy.
You should come down and visit us, we know a great spot for chai. :)

A body good it does. I drink about 2 gallonsa week. It's the best, simple.
Ewwww Soy. I've never been sick with regular moo juice.
It's funny-- I used to quite like milk but for the longest time now, the mere thought of drinking a glass of it is enough to make me want to hurl. And it's not an anti-dairy thing either, more of a sudden aversion to dairy you drink.
I've had sudden changes like that. For years I was a cola drinker. It was my drug. But literally overnight it became sickening to me. My taste buds received it a completely different way and I no longer liked it AT ALL.
My taste buds used to flip-flop on me like that too when I was a kid. Mostly with veggies (I remember hating peas for awhile) and sandwich stuffs (peanut butter went on/off several times as I recall). But never milk. I have never developed lactose intolerance and milk will be #1 until I do. This is not to say that I don't have a need for coffee but that is generally after the milk and some food, or else coffee tends to upset my stomach.
That sounds like something from "The Edible Woman" by Margaret Atwood. I had to get rid of that book because it was ruining my eating habits. :\
Soy milk is positively disgusting. In a pinch I can use rice milk for cereal, but not as a beverage.
Whole milk from a cow or goat for me.
hmm. see I like cow and goat milk (cream in my coffee, 1 or 2 % on cereal or in tea) a lot.
However, I REALLY enjoy soy based beverages. mmmm. vanilla so nice and chocolate so good. mmmmm.mmm. but I dont' think of them as a milk subsititute, if I were to take a swig of soy beverage expecting milk--I would NOT be happy. They are an alternate beverage choice which I really enjoy. yo.

Actually, I suppose Red Bull fits into that "pop" catagory, although I don't like pop, especially Britney Spears. nyah nyah.

I have a lovely decaf Sencha and a slightly less lovely decaf Ceylon tea. Also rooibus (which I thought tasted like tree until I tried it with some cinnamon).
Caffeine, alas, makes me jumpy. My favorite tea, though, is still Assam, a fruity black tea. Add a little lemon. Zing! Mmm, good. You must first create an account to post.
