Never REALLY caught onto the BNL bandwagon. Some good songs, but never stayed with me. I can't like 'em all.

how could i possibly choose? :) i never really liked maroon as an album, although it does have some good songs on there. and i haven't really gotten into born on a pirate ship yet. choosing between stunt, maybe you should drive and gordon is a toughie. eek. i can't decide. i love all of them. :)

I'm not a BNL fan but I figure if I follow this thread I'll read people saying nice things about Gordon :-)

Just barely beats Gordon.
It's got ALMOST all of my favorites from Gordon.. and some other favs that aren't on that album. Also, some of the versions on this are SO freakin good.
01. Brian Wilson If only it had Wrap Your Arms Around Me and Blame It On Me, it would be perfect. :)
yeah, we can, but i have no money with which to buy it :D
I was listening to Gordon last week, and while listening to Hello City, I thought that it would be a great song to jam to at the Budgiedome. I'm fairly sure our resident BNL performer Bill from St. Louis will be back again. He led a magical version of Brian Wilson last year.
I sing Hello City to my cat. Except I change the words to Hello Kitty.

If I owned Rock Spectacle, that might be tough competition...but, since I don't, nothing comes close to Gordon. The great majority of my favorites are on there... "Blame it on Me," "What a Good Boy," etc. One of the great things about BNL, though, is they don't really have an album I don't like...Maroon is kinda shmeh, but it still has quite a few good songs...
yup. on maroon i listen to the first 5 or 6, and then go back to the beginning :D
And I Live With it Every Day is a gutwrenching song. I adore it.
.oO I know you must have loved me one time, now I'm just a toy... Oo.
Born on a Pirate Ship was my first BNL album. I really really like it. Such good songs, and such weird songs! *dance*

has anyone else noticed that on BNL albums the 5th song always kicks butt? or is that just me? :D
i tend to go with 3s on my radio shows. if i don't know an album, i'll just play track 3. :)
Agreed on theme shows, although I tend to favor covers shows instead of track number shows. That could change soon, though.
On topic, I voted Gordon. My favorite BNL songs are on MYSD, but overall Gordon is a better listen.

I voted "who could pick" because I only own Gordon and Stunt I'm not sure why I only own those two, I like BNL, for lots of reasons. Mostly the same reasons I like Fruvous, but that's not to say that the bands are similar. I think they both went down the same road but quickly came to a fork in the road and went different ways.
oooh that's funny. i started off with those two albums, and even though they're my favourite band along with fruvous and DVN, it's taken me ages to get more of their cds for some reason. though the wait has been well worth it, because the others are really good too :)

Defintily Maybe You Should Drive, although Gordon is a close second.
Maybe You Should Drive was my favorite for a few years, and is probably still second...but it kinda stagnated and Gordon kept growing on me. :)
It's definitely my favorite. Gordon is a close second. Frvous is on Gordon, though :).
andy emailed me once. i loooooooove him. i haven't heard the bros creeg stuff. bad beth!!! maybe when i move to canada, i'll have to actually listen to it. hehehe. *heartstoandy*

I have all the CDs but would have to say BOAPS is the best of them I love This Is Where It Ends, Stomach Vs. Heart, Just A Toy, and Call Me Calmly. The other songs are good too, the only one I really don't like is Break Your Heart. *hides* But the Rock Spectacle versions of SH&ODH and When i Fall are way better.
Thank you. No one else seems to feel the same way about me :-)

What is up with you people? NOBODY has mentioned Disc One. It's got all the essentials, plus hello... Lovers in a dangerous time. That's why that one fote for 'Other' is up there. If (god forbid) I had to give up all my other BNL albums, Disc One is the one to keep. I can handle it not being the favorite, Gordon does rock, but not even a mention?! amen, bra. see that *other* vote for "other"? yep. i know BNL didn't write "lovers," but they made it their own, and my only complaint is that it's not longer. i could listen to those harmonies all day. however, i was really tempted to vote for the underdog born on a pirate ship, b/c though it's a little uneven, it has some moments of sheer brilliance (when i fall, straw hat, shoebox, break your heart, and just a toy, of which i think i'm the only person in the world who's a fan). but picking fave BNL albums is like picking fave children, man--too hard, too hard.
