Wow, when i picked the last one and saw that bar stretch that far i didnt realise i was only the first one to vote!

i wouldnt say im TOTALLY depressed, but i wouldnt say "not too happy but not horrible" either, 'cuz im pretty horrible for the most part. so i chose the closest one.

Ive been feeling totally worthless since i got out of highschool and at least this year i applied for college but while im waiting for acceptence, Im currently schlepping my ass off for 7 bucks an hour at Tim Hortons.  Ive never before worked for that little money and its so not worth the feet and back pain and grief. it was my second day today and i fucked up three orders and a customer kinda freaked on me and i ended up having to leave the cash to go and cry for a few minutes.  I wouldnt say i hate the job so much as i hate the fact that i have no other choice right now and the pay is so bad.

Anyhoo, im sure no one really cares about this whining so i'll shut up :)

i just aspire to "OK" for the time being. I hope ya'll are doing better than I.

happier than I've been in a very long time. (even the war, which I'm unhappy about, can't ruin my overall super happy mood right now)

Kind of always am... even when I'm depressed, I'm really pretty happy. I'm a happy person by nature.
Jan Klump Back · 22 years ago
Normally, I, too, am usually happy, but the war has put me in totally depressed at the moment. This will pass.
nate... · 22 years ago
Am I? Yes... I am.

And stop calling me "happy".

"general happy"? ;-)
Annika Back · 22 years ago
For the most part I'm a happy person. Although I have my moments of pure unhappiness. But my happy times far out weigh my unhappy times.

yay the mood swings!! i'm super-happy right now, but i can bet you that by tonight i'll be drained and suicidal :D
zil · 22 years ago

I think that I tend to be on the happy side of things, but not on the extreme side of it. When things get bad, I tend to mentaly step back and try to see things from outside. This helps then, but I think it means I'm more distanced from the good things as well.

Still, I think this is a fairly good place for a writer to be.
Although I'd be in even better shape if I could get some training and find a copy of Vampyr..

"Still, I think this is a fairly good place for a writer to be."

I think a better place for you to be would be near me, who after all is not in favor of a totally adorable, cutsie of a talcott to hang out with?

is a total bitch.  When I'm adequately medicated, and my therapy is going well, and the stressors in my life have settled down a bit, I'm very happy, indeed.

But, remove any of those items, and there can be very black times.

I'm in the same boat foof.

Thankfully, I have never been what I would consider clinicly depressed. I feel for those of you who have/are. I have also rarely been totally happy (meaning content). I have never managed to get that combination of happy homelife, job satisfaction, financial freedom, etc. that I thought I would have achieved by this point in my life. Not that I want to be Bill Gates but a modest degree of success should be in anyone's grasp, or so the high-school counselors will tell you. But we all have decisions we would like back, and other things happen over which we have no (or little) control.

SO .....things ain't easy, but they are ok. Overall its a happy life so far.

I picked OK.

Why did I do that?  It seemed the closest to my standard answer: Fine.

I am super happy!  This year alone I have been a geuss at sci-fi cons, the magazine I work for could possibly be nominated for a hugo, I have the most incredable girlfreind in the entire universe, and I am (execuative?) producing my first CD!  It's not my CD but it's the first one I am producing.  Oh and I started J. Andrew World Artist Management!  I have one and a half clients!
emilie is CRANKY Back · 22 years ago
i'l be your client! me me me! *jumps up and down frantically waving arms about* then you'll have 2 and a half clients! and you can be doubly happy! (or would that be two-fifths... or two thirds? what? maths! eek. better ask gordondon.) :D
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 22 years ago
That would be five thirds happy.

Have pity on me. I mean well.
