i love my saturn. :)

but who's to say a truck isnt a sensible car?
nate... Back · 22 years, 3 months ago
Noone said a truck isn't sensible... it could be a sensible truck....

But I would definitely say that a truck cannot be a sensible *car*.

I drive a Neon R/T which is both sensible and sporty, and a Hyundai Elantra Wagon which is very sensible, but has good acceleration.

However, if could afford to buy a new vehicle right now, I'd either want an SUV, or a Minivan, or preferably some kind of minivan/SUV hybrid. I need more space, and I want 4-wheel drive!

i drive a 1994 mercury sable, which is a "sensible car" in theory -- it's not so sensible when you take into account how many things about it aren't working.
zil Back · 22 years, 3 months ago
mine is a 93 oldsmobile ceira... called Maud. yeah she is an old lady of a car, but she gets me places, most of the time.

:-)

It's a lovely little thing.
2000 Accord coupe...standard transmission... black leather and dark tinted windows.
Mmmmm.
It's like I'm driving around in my own little comfy cave. hehe
It's a lot of fun to drive... but still gets me around 30 miles to the gallon during the regular commute.
I luffs it.

my car, which -still- retains her name, 'sassi sunfire' after successfully avoiding being seen by certain bassists{well...at least for 2 1/2 more weeks yet anyhoo} ROCKS!!!!

she's purple and cute and she may not have power windows or locks or a CD player, but she has a working tapedeck which poor kitti cavalier{pron cav-ahh-lee-yay} did not. and she has cruise control and though she's -not- a hatchback, her back seats fold down for cargo hauling{which will be GREAT for FRFF!!!!}.

she happily sports a pink hippie-girl flower on her antenna and has EFO and DVN stickers on respective sides of her bumper. as well, of course, as the pink glittery 'princess" sticker that k-rock gave me at FRFF 2000.

so yeah. i luvvvs her, too ;)

I drive a 1997 Purple Ford Escort used to be known as the "Pimpmobile" but now known as the "deermobile" when I got hit by a deer (driver's side, back door only) in March 1999. $1500 damage to the door and since I only had less than 3000 miles (I think I had 1500 miles at that time) on the car, the insurance company gave me a new door. :) It's 5 years old and I have 16,000 miles on it. =D

I still have to find the pictures showing how the door looked when the deer hit me. There are around somewhere. I tookthem the night I got home. It was raining and fur was stuck all over the car and inserted in the backdoor.

The car was born on June 5th, 1997 and I bought it on June 28, 1997.

I also have DSCULLY license plates to get rid of the "666" numbers I had on the old car. :D

Hey sheryl, what color is it? :)
Annika · 22 years, 3 months ago
I drive... or drove rather, a very sensible '87 Honda Civic Hatchback wagon, everything about it was sensible, even down to the light blue color. Unfortunatly, I'm not a very sensible driver, or wasn't anyhow, and did 80 in a 20mph area, like I always did, and car hydroplaned, and spun out, and my car, and the gaurd rail were totaled. Amazing how many other people had driven just like me, "going the speed limit" and "I don't know what happened." So I only got a $50 ticket, and $10 court fee. Yeah!! for me!!

I love it yet hate it for i never get to drive it ...anf my husband gets to many speeding tickest in it

Till this summer I was driving my cool sporty Plymouth Laser. It died and now i'm driving the ultimate sensible car the Honda Civic. I love sports cars but I'd only get one that gets good mileage now. My environmentalism is beating out the testosterone.
Talcott · 22 years, 3 months ago
yeah, that's about the way it is for me too. I walk everywhere. For some reason though, people tend to think that's weird, even in a town as small as this. For me, two miles = easy walking distance *shrug*

Granted, I can drive, and there are some things (food, concerts, movies) where it would be nice to have a car, but day-to-day, I'm fine on my feet...

if I didn't wear shoes, I'd just claim myself a hobbit.
Arbie Back · 22 years, 3 months ago
hmmm...yes. What I drive and what I want to drive are two very different things. I do still drive my Astro van still, its been my transportation, and used to be be my meal ticket, since 1990 (its an '87). Which explains why it has nearly 600,000 Kms on it and doesn't run all that well anymore.
As my environmentalism is beating my testosterone too, (has always really) when I can afford something else I hope I will be able to afford one of the hybrid gas/electrics that are out but I hear so little about...

Ok the fuzzy dice fell off, but it's stillmy pimpmobile.
sheryls Back · 22 years, 3 months ago
black-gold, why? :)
Agent Scully Back · 22 years, 3 months ago
I think the color of the car is important. :)

I based my car buying all on color. =D

'Sorry if it doesn't come in purple, I don't want it.' ;D
sheryls Back · 22 years, 3 months ago
ah - i love black cars. always have. i just happen to be lucky to get this one in black - with really dark tinted windows and all black interior.

My car is named Nina, after one of my college lit professors. I used to believe that a car was only about getting from point A to faraway point B (and displaying bumper stickers). When I inherited Nina from my parents, I was pleased because she wasn't the big ol' gas-guzzling, jumpy behemoth of a Buick Century I learned to drive on. But since I've been with her through a few more road trips, we have developed a real sense of camaraderie. Good gas mileage, working tape deck, thrives in cold weather-- not bad for a car with almost 138,000 miles.

The scary thing is, when I was looking for the lyrics...one page had that song as a MIDI file when I went to the page.
