hehehe
But seriously... any of those groups... except the arrogant worms, who I've never heard... make me puke.
Ugh.
So yeah, anyone other than the listed options.

What is "Lousy Boy"???

You are *so* lucky you live in New Zealand right now missy. :P
I can't actually picture anyone singing that song To see him sing it live, it's obviously very personal to him. It could be kind of fun to see Tom Wilson from Blackie and the Rodeo Kings try but I think he'd have to fall off the wagon first....
Thank you, I didn't want to be the one to say it.
Scream if you thing I'm tight!

I went with Michael Jackson, mainly because he actually makes a lousy boy, what with being Diana Ross and all.
I'm rockin' the suburbs, just like Michael Jackson did,
I'm rockin' the suburbs, (you know the rest)
Yeah...he did that at his FRFF 2001 set...I remember now...I found it really obnoxious because he was basically like "boys suck but I'm cool, so there." Rightrightright.
nah, that's why i went with eminem, with all he uptight heterosexist ways .:)
wait, this isn't the dvn fan site? what on earth am i doing here?

What must this guy be thinking? They ought to remake the movie "The Cell" and base it fully on the mind of the JACKO!!!
How does JACKO pick his nose? with a catalogue!
Well, they're suppose to make you puke. I should have phrased the question better, but the idea was to see if the song could possibly be made any worse (thereby perhaps increasing the entertainment value a bit), because, dear god, do I hate that song...
Yeah, I'm thinking that New Zealand should become the official safe haven for people who can't stand Jian. ;) Come on over here, everyone!! I know I'm not the only one.
bored, bored, bored....

The whole point of this poll is to think of unusual or exotic or just plain funny pairings of song/artist. That's why I picked Eminem..A white boy, rap, poser version of Lousy Boy. How funny would THAT be?
Yeah. Bjork definitely should have been an option. That would be great. ;)
I picked Manson too, because I think he's as entertaining as hell.
haha..JACKO! we have a street in bowling green called jackson street - and you know, street signs are all in caps so it says JACKSON ..well the S and N are faded, so at night, when your headlights hit it, it seems like it says JACK O
and we would always yell "JACKO!" :D they may have replaced the streetsign - it's been a few years since i looked :D

dood.
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN wasn't a choice? man..first the omission of bjork and now THIS...... and what, no bob dylan???? no davy jones?????? no streisand?? anne murray???? but i think, given jian's affinity for her, the BEST person to cover it, would be JEWEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as you were............
I'm glad I read all the way to the end, because the while I voted for Manson, the very first name I thought of in connection with covering Lousy Boy was Bruce. It would be so great! C'mon can't you see him up there in his jeans and t-shirt talking abouit what a sensitive guy he is. It is perfect!
Oh and BTW. I LIKE Lousy Boy. In fact I think it might just be the best of Jian's solo songs. (Well, after Follow the Road)
That's actually not the point of the song at all....
"if you buuuuuuuuuuy your ticket for the waaaaaaaar gaaaaaaaaaaaaaames!"

What about a duet between Britney Spears and Cristina Aguilera? Maybe interspersed with verses of the immortal Brandy & Monica song "That Boy is Mine." Woo-hoo.
No, the point of the survey was to see who everyone thought could do the most amusing/entertaining cover of "Lousy Boy" (And, yes, I happen to think the song sucks, but I'm entitled think what I like about the damn song. I can't listen to it without cringing.). Don't put words into our mouths and please try to track down your sense of humor.
I have it a mix tape somewhere. I'm just ashamed. ;)
(I am also now earwormed with it. Great.)
Now that I would love to see! Anyone got a time machine handy?
get on the ball! :0) *prowls in grass for the next unsuspecting poll*
oh goodness... *replaces wang chung posters with moxy fruvous* whoops...
And I don't think I've ever heard it...but I voted for the Arrogant Worms...well because they are way cooler than jian! :)
Trevor rawks my world! :)
I think the poll should've consisted ofa few songs. What about *horf* Natalia?
Kill me now.
Shell, you forgot Micky Dolenz. :D
When i think of Micky I think of the song "mommy and Daddy" for some reason (which I love!). :)
Is this on the "first 6 songs" CD?
I missed that completely.

Ithink that kid rock should cover it. It can show his sensative side. Like Unkle Cracker's "Follow me"
