Window or aisle seat?

I like to fly on those little planes with 1 seat, an aisle, and 2 more seats, and sit on the side where I get to be at the window and on the aisle at the same time.

I'm 6'3". :P I have to have the aisle if it's even a remote possibility... otherwise I'm a freakin sardine in a can.
but if it's not a remote possibility, I'll take the window, just because at least it's something. never EVER middle. I think with middle, I just wouldn't fly. :D Bah! I'm 6'7" and have flown in a middle seat in every flight I've taken. Bulkhead rows are the way to go. They suck because there's no storage under the seat in front of you (because there's no seat in front of you), but there's more legroom than an exit row, and your seat still reclines. :-)
wow... you must either not have very long legs, or have an extraordinary ability to deal with being scrunched. :)
Although if you ALWAYS do bulkhead rows, then, yeah. With those, there's no issue. I forgot to mention them... but.. I was only lucky enough to get one once. Most of the time, they're the first to be snapped up.
It's the scrunched one. I have a 35 inch inseam, but I drive small, Korean cars. :-)

I'd have the window seat for take-off and landing, and then trade for aisle once the plane is in the air. Unless it was a clear day, or a low flight.
What I'd love, but for obvious reasons it's not going to happen, would be glass-bottom planes. Transparent aluminum, perhaps? Maybe I should just borrow Wonder Woman's plane...

I sit at the window when possible on planes, trains, and busses. I take the Long Island Railroad most days but I'll still look out the window at least part of the trip. On planes I can look out the window for hours.

i'm all about the window, especially when flying out of chicago.
Why flying out not in?
I've always found the view on the way back to New York better than the view leaving. It probably has something to do with the wind patterns and flight plans. That is probably the answer to my question. Chicago has the same situation but in reverse.
yes, i believe you have the answer right there. the view flying out of midway is awesome.
I actually remember that. You approach from the lake.
I also remember being struck by how many softball fields I saw from the air. one of the ways out of Logan was more awesome than the other, but i cant remember which. i think it was leaving. coming in was neat because it looked like you were gonna land in the water then BAM! land hits. but at the same time, that's incredibly unnerving. o.O i'm a nervous flyer.

I have been about the aisle seat for a long time but I sat by the window on my flight home and it made the flight seem so much more pleasant! you don't feel as crammed into an ugly noisy airplane.
