I work from home now. So it's roll out of bed, sit in chair and log onto work computer. The end.

I also work from Andrea's home.  The commute is KILLING ME!

And dude, could you stop leaving your coffee cups everywhere?

Normally I try to allow an hour so that I can really take my time. And, y'know, shower, and stuff.
But on school days it usually ends up being about 15 minutes because I love to sleep and I have to get to school really early to make all my copies, etc. And my students wonder why I never wear my hair down. Because, kids, I'm too lazy to wash it in the morning.

I only NEED 15 minutes... from asleep to in car and driving... which includes shower, shave, etc.

But I tend to give myself an additional 15 or so to check email/etc.

Rimbo · 17 years, 10 months ago
I'm usually pretty quick. In and out of the shower, toss some product in my hair, maybe shave once a week . . . I'd say 15-30 minutes. But then I have a 45-minute commute.

I'm a leaver -- I've been told that it runs in my family. My Grandfather used to sit in the car when he was done eating at a restaurant. And if I didn't love my wife so much, I'd probably do the same. I'm ALWAYS ready to go before everyone else. LET'S MOVE ON. I've also been told that it's because I test "perceiving" on the Myers-Briggs.

So . . . not long.

the combination of eating breakfast and showering takes no more than 30 minutes. probably less, but I've never actually timed it.

but from the time my alarm first goes off to the time I leave the house is something on the order of 2 hours. because it includes reading email, lj, fhdc, the newspaper, doing the sudoku, sometimes a half hour workout, sometimes lying in bed for an hour, sometimes forgetting where I parked my car.... the usual.

I usually give myself 45 minutes though if it is really early I make it 30. The problem with 45 minutes is that I often finish too early and then go online and waste so much time I start running late.

The one thing I never do is use the snooze alarm. I hate when my alarm goes off and no way I'm going to face that twice.

I wake up at about 6-6:15 every morning, and get to work about 8-8:15.

I wake up, make coffee, check email, drink coffee, make breakfast, take a shower, get dressed, i dont do a lot of preening, but if i have time i toss on some makeup, take the dogs out, pack lunches and drive to work :P

i like having time in the morning :P

Me too, except for the whole makeup and taking the dogs out part ;-)
If I rush in the morning, I feel more tired all day. I'm much happier getting up a little early and being able to lounge around for a bit.

I like my sleepies more. John and I rise at 6:00 to be out the door by 7:00 after feeding 3 dogs, showering, making lunch, and stumbling down a flight of stairs to the car. WHOOSH!
Kat Kunz · 17 years, 10 months ago
...I, too, like not being rushed in the morning, but I also really, really, really like that snooze button. I can be out the door in 30 if I'm taking breakfast with me and don't have to pack a lunch/blowdry my hair; it takes closer to an hour if I need more preening/preparing time. Of course, I turned the alarm off and went back to sleep a couple weeks ago, woke up with 10 minutes to make it out the door and was still at class 5 minutes early, so I can get it done when I have to. But, since people generally prefer a showered version of me, I try not to make such exits a habit.

I usually wake up around 6am, give myself an extra 15 minutes of snooze bar action. then i hit the showers for about five. then i kinda give the initial email check. then i try to wait around until 7am to leave for school but usually end up going earlier than that cause i hate having breakfast in the morning (it usually gives me a tummy ache 0_o)
