Last week tragedy struck and all we could do was stand by and watch. As a starving artist, I wondered how I could possibly be of help to the people who are without homes, food, or water. But I came to the realization that I can help them with my art, and so could you. I am trying to put together a coalition of artists to create a collection of images to sell and raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
I have decided that America�s Second Harvest would be the best organization to receive the money we raise, which will be matched by RadioShack Corporation up to $5,000.
Here�s How It Works:
If you donate an image it will be turned into a CafePress.com shop to sell. I will put together a page which will not only show the collection of images that we have gathered, but have a short bio and a link to your website. Also, I will send you a receipt for the time you put into this project for tax purposes.
Some Restrictions Apply:
I shouldn�t have to say this, but there are limits as to what we will include in the shop. Obviously nothing offensive. That means no swearing, sexual content, or racism will be allowed. If there is something that I find offensive, I will let you know. If you don�t own the copyright to an image, don�t use it without first obtaining permission from the owners and sending me proof of their consent. The images that will be on the shirts will be chosen at my discretion, so if I feel that a design is inappropriate for any reason, I will let you know.
Also make sure the images are print quality; that means I am asking you to send me high resolution images to my mailbox, preferably 300dpi.
Who Benefits:
As I mentioned before, all money will be raised for America�s Second Harvest. If you are not familiar with them, they are a national food bank and they are down there right now delivering food and water to the victims.
