natural is better, but I don't use peanut butter often enough to buy it and use it before it separates. hence, the processed stuff which will keep until the next ice age.

Keep it in the fridge and stir it before you use it....doesn't really matter if it separates a bit. *Shrug.

(And it's sooo much better.)

Gotta keep some of the processed stuff around too, though, for baking and such.

Nateral penut butter has no flavor. Give me the processed stuff any day, but not the Paul Sabourin of PB, I like Jif or Peter Pan.

"no thanks" doesn't begin to address the disgustingness that is anything peanut-related.

*shudder*

thank you for disagreeing with me. that will make things much easier. :)

I recently heard on the food network that women and East Coasters tend to prefer smooth peanut butter and men and West Coasters tend to prefer chunky.
hmmm...

I don't have all that much in the way of moneys, and yet I tend to go through quite a bit of it, so Extra Cruchy Jif it is.

While I'll eaisly agree that natural is better quality than the Jif I tend to get, I don't know if I'll ever understand the appeal of smooth peanut butter. Although it seems more common around here.

The appeal of smooth peanut butter is the durability (or lack thereof) of Wonder bread.
Talcott Back · 19 years, 5 months ago
Which is why you should get real bread ;-)

Although, the whole-wheat wonderbread is actually pretty good.
And it did help my desire to go to school with my bus driving past the wonder bread bakery...

I love Peanut Butter. When I was young I didn't like chunky, now I do but my doctor said I shouldn't eat it.

My current obsession is mixing peanut butter with chocolate ice cream then adding hot fudge.

...yet another poll I knew was Gordon's without even seeing the results. :D

all natural smooth is the best, but I'll take the processed kind in a pinch. mmm.

For some reason you connect me with peanut butter? I wonder why :-)
Kris 'engaged' Bedient · 19 years, 5 months ago
for a little while, the results seemed to favor the all natural varieties, but processed is back on top!
dgodwin Back · 19 years, 5 months ago
I first was going to vote natural, because skippy was the suggested brand for processed peanut butter. I hate skippy peanut butter. It doesn't taste right to me. Peter Pan and Jiff are what I will use exclusively. I can't recall seeing natural peanut butter in the local megamart, but I remember making it in elementary school.
sheryls · 19 years, 5 months ago
i like the natural creamy best, but only from krogers. because it's saltier. ^_^
stealthlori · 19 years, 5 months ago
i like peanut butter, but have no real preference for natural or processed. as for texture, it depends on what i'm using it for. i like chunky in sammiches -- nice texture change, there -- but on crackers or celery or something else crunchy, i like smooth.
