Poll: Do yo care that there's no NHL this year?

Fortunately, there's an AHL franchise in Rochester, the Amerks (the Buffalo Sabres' farm team), that I can watch as an alternative.

Really I don't care for another 2-5 baseball games and then it'll sting a bit. But we have some sloppy hockey here that will have to do.

I've never been a football fan anyway.

No, I think as long as you yellow card the third wicket you can skip that part.

Hockey is my favorite sport out of the professional sports (minus the World Cup), but I'm not a die-hard fan or anything.

Yeah, same here.� I really miss my Flyers...I guess the Phantoms will have to do.

I would have to agree, but no AHL for me, I have to go to senior A games. Which is fun too, as there's no possible way to sit more than 20 feet from the ice.

it's obvious that there's not *that* many canadians on fruhead, at least not stereotypical ones like myself.

thanks to my canadian-fruhead boyfriend, i've become more of a hockey fan than i have ever been a fan of any other sport (admittedly, that wasn't hard) & i've attended more hockey games in the past two-odd years, by about a hundred times, than any other type of game.

but we still have season tickets to the giants whl team, & i always liked those games better than canuck games. you can sit closer, & there's no stupid commercial breaks.

I was born into a hockey family and raised watching hockey. I still sleep, sometimes, in a hockey jersey that was gifted me by a wonderful fruhead boy.

But I honestly find that as years have gone by and salaries have gone up, I've completely stopped caring about hockey.

Never been a big NHL fan. I always preferred college hockey! Go Big Red!

I like the minors more than the NHL. More FIGHTS!

I went to see the Fort Worth Brahams fight and a hockey game broke out! (Seriously the game was like almost FOUR HOURS long because there were so many fights and altercations, plus the goalie took a slapshot at almost point blank range and it got under his pads. Dude shook it off after 10 minutes of laying there and finished the game, now that's balls! or stupidity, I'm not sure which).

Sorry, nothing beats a Sabres/Leafs game in Buffalo.� The atmosphere is incredible.� The Amerks are boring in comparison....but i suppose will have to do...:-(

Or an Islanders game in Buffalo. With all the UB students that are from Long Island, it's like an away game.
