hehe. thought i'd start this up. (yes, i know it's only april. shaddup.) so. tickets bookedalready! *squee* :)count me in. who else is coming?
*raises hand* I'll most likely be there as well with bagels and yummy baked goods in tow.
dude! i forgot about that. which camp should we camp at?
You should lower camp! Even though I can't make it again this year, the coolest kids lower camp. Queen Shelly and the estrogen tent! :-)
Yes, all the coolest kids are camping on the side of the hill. :) It's fun and it's between lower and upper Frucamps, making for easy visiting to both. Just remember to place yourself with your head uphill when sleeping and then you can just slide right out in the morning. ;)
It all depends on how old and crotchety you feel. :) Lower camp: Flatter, quieter, and with JillMom and Julius (I hope!) parenting us better'n anybody can! Much communal yumminess and lounging. Upper camp: Noisier (And I mean that factually, not as a judement. :) ), hillier, where the action is, yummy with music, not sure about the communal yumminess and lounging because I haven't been there during mornings/days. So there's pros and cons to both and it all depends on what your personal preference is. I'm old and boring and crotchety and spoiled so I like to be downstairs. :)
upper camp has the fabulous lori and steve, and also plenty of communal yumminess. plus plenty of jamming and sets by cool pros. and it has meeeeee.
(if i ever get off my ass and design them and give the design to jessica-the-button-chick, that is.)
them's the facts indeed. and there's not a lot of parenting upstairs because, like, hi. i'm on vacation from all that schtuff. lounging upstairs is nice in the daytime because there's always a couple of folks wanderingin and out, but it's not too loud and crazy.so if you're tired or sunburnt you can relax in the shade and still watch mainstage performances. and if you're not ... well then why would you be upstairs instead ofdown at one of the stages? it'sNEVAH too early to start thinking aboot/planning for FRFF!!!!! if all goes as planned john & i are goin up the weekend before & setting up 'the estrogen tent' & 'the lobby' and reservingall the space we need for 'the pirate's patch' &helping steve set up the budgiedome and get upper camp setup/cordoned off and i'm just gonna stay there for the long haul..... so don't be afraid of me if y'all arrive on wednesday and i'm like 'PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'; i'll have been the solitary camper at the patch since saturday, seeeoooooo ;) be nice to me. also....thus far i know me with the ET, jillmom & dad's tent & kat's tent, andrea & paul's ginormous tent{heeh!}, donnagirl's le petite tent, anita's le petite, my friends stuart & janice's tent and i THINK kerry & jill's larger tent again.....those are the one i DEF know about thus far for lower camp... josh, are you & sara lower camping it again this year or areyou 'movin on up'?? teehee coz...yeah.....i have already begun planning the layout and such{ok...i started planning it LAST year at the fest......i know...} so knowing who all's planning on campin lower and tent size would be MOST appreciated!! schpanks!!!! y'all can just frum me
We're all about the lower, now that we're old farts. The way I see it, I'll stay up and make lots of noise in upper camp until I get tired, then I'll head down to lower and get some peace and quiet. :)
Shelly is right. We'll both be heading up there the Saturday afternoon before to get everything set up, both downstairs and upstairs. Fun times! I stay in upper camp, because I'm ALL about the sing-alongs, yo! yes yes yes, my beloved parents and myself will all be in attendance this year (er, assuming no last-minute health problems befall us again. pneumonia is teh suck).lower camp, as ever, but i swear to godi'll beless 'fraid ofconquering the hill at night and attend moreof the upper camp's eveningmusical glee this year. :D this is my sixth annual FRFF! good heavens, it's hard to believe. why, i remember the heat of '99 as though it were yesterday... and those young fruvous whippersnappers were there! ahh, the good old days... *hobbles away on her walker, muttering to herself* um. hi! i'll be there too. i know you're all shocked. also, i have a spare 4-day camping ticket, by the way, available at the lowlowlow February sale price of $70. First come first served, frum me or email me if you want it. *sends anti-weeping vibes to renita *limey* long*

Somepeople and i will be there, with violin, guitar, and andrew bird songs in tow...we're staying at a b&b this year, but we'll be hanging out at upper camp as usual, and making plenty of stops in lower camp to bug the rest of y'all. :)
*prepares songs, dances, and broadway-style musical theater extravaganzas*

It depends on the logistics of bringing a baby with us. But we figure that it would be a good chance for Andy's mom to meet her granddaughter. I don't know how much time we'd spend at the festival-- I mean, obviously we'd be doing some stuff with family and I can't see us hanging out till all hours at the budgiedome every night! But I think we could maybe do one long day and Sunday.. (maybe more- i'm not sure)
*thinks* actually the budgiedome during the day should be a godsend since it's cool and shady and pretty quiet-- Maddie should be able to nap there... oh! and dibs on the bondage chair when it's time for feedings! I hope we do manage to come-- I'm all excited about showing off our little gal! Plus, well, it's FRFF-- it rocks. As do our friends who we don't get to see often enough. Oh and Emilie? I'll make sure Andy brings you your autographed copy of 'Mike Fanning!' you. rock. *^_^* you must come! we wantss to see baby maddie, preciousss! :) the bondage chair shall have a "reserved for ellen and maddie" sign on it during the day, then. oooh, a bondage baby. we're raising our little girl right, aren't we?

i'll be there as long as i'm healthy, have the money, and can find some transportation.
upper camp, of course. it's where the action is.
you haven't forgotten about our rendezvous, have you?
Well, you can also hit Camp Dar's massage tent

FRFF! WOO! USA! USA! (not to exclude canada, of course.) Good LAWD I can't wait for FRFF. I haven't been much of a traditional budgiedome fruhead in a few years, but i'm hoping to make an appearance and say howdy to a nice handful of people. don't be shy, people. don't be shy. also. FALCONRIDGE! I've been sitting inside the house all day, with the occasional trip to the porch to back in the warm weather to smoke a cigertte. That might explain my non-sequitor manners. Or not. Yeah.

Well, I had planned on coming to FRFF this year.
Then life got away from me. So now I have no idea if I'll be there or not. And if I am, I'm not sure which camp I'll be at, either. Preference leans towards the Dome, but not sure. *finally got the tiny smattering of pics she took of last years FRFF developed* WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I GET TO SEE PAULEY OMG *bounce* :D ooh, make sure you get the ticks before may 15th, y0, or you won't get 'em supah-cheap (but i expect you knew that already *slaps forehead*)
Wimp, I wouldn't let a little thing like the planet exploding stop me.

Ok shells bells you are arriving the saturday before the fest. Curious as to how thats possible. Are you a member of the prefest volunteer crew? I have been to the last four fests and this year we are volunteering but still can't check in I believe till wednesday. I would like to arrive earlier though. (I actually have 3 weeks vacation this year!) I can take two weeks off in the summer and still have a week for the year end holidays! But I digress. Do you arrive early to set up the budgie dome?
*nods* yah...i'm on volunteer early crew{my first year for the early crew!!!}and steve's doing it yet again{coz he's amazing!!!}so...yah...budgiedome will go up that saturday along with the upper camp's shower,as always, as will 'the lobby' down below in 'the pirate's patch' and, of -course-, 'the estrogen tent'. =) and i envy you the vacation; i hafta take about 4 days UNpaid in order to logistically make everything happen, but i'm an anal bitch who doesn't like to disappoint and likes everything -her- way, so i'm willing to make the sacrifice. :) 5 Years of drudgery to get 3 weeksvacation but it was worth it! Thats great you get to set up the dome on Saturday. More time to party!! Pirates Patch? Estrogen Tent??(could be dangerous for males!) More info on those please! Did you volunteer before? What crew? How did you like it? Lotsa questions I know! I like punctuation marks!!! As this is our first year volunteering we are somewhat anxious to find out what we will be doing but apparently we won't know till mid july. I am so psyched about FRFF being right around the corner! I don't volunteer, but I just show up that weekend before to help with the set-up. i don't stay, but i do leave my already setup tent there as a way to maximize time when I get there Wednesday evening.
The early-setup volunteers do this to stake first claim on camp sites. You need to be physically helping a early-setup volunteer and set up your tent in that campsite in order to do this.

I don't see me anywhere. Well, it's time. I'm officially announcing that I'll be camping in Lower Camp this year. That'll make it an even 2 and 2 (plus a non-Fru uphill summer). Perhaps I'll even break out the singing bra...
100% dainty!
