eyyy. another britishfrutripping-related forum! (joy.) :D dates and things not finalised just yet for our grand tour, but we'll be posting them here at some point in the near future. (because i'm sure you're all -dying- to know... *observes the barren wastelands of fruheadlessness* :D)

in the meantime, however, i've thought of a little something to keep us all amused. seeing as we're all so fond of fruphotospam here, i came up with this idea - basically, i thought it would make things a little bit more interesting if�siobhan and i�had a list of random things to do along the way, say, about 50 small tasks we had to accomplish on the trip and take pictures of ourselves doing, so that when we got back in august we could post them all up here as hard evidence that we did as we were told. :D (whew, that was a long sentence.)

right. so your task is to think up a load of random, kooky things for us to do while we're in north america, say, like, 'eat sushi', or 'go for a ride in a cable car', or 'climb a tree'. try not to make them things that are site-specific (like, 'go to cincinatti') or that are hugely expensive ('play poker in a casino') or that will involve us getting nekkid ('have a lesbian orgy'). i'll select a nice round number (hopefully 50, if you guyses come up with enough cool ideas, that makes an average of just over 1 task per day) and make them into a list that we'll take round with us when we're over there.

Well, there's a big list of fun things to do somewhere on the internet... we could probably steal a few of those... let me see if I can find it again ;) Because at the moment I can't seem to think of any activities for ya ;)

Oh this would be fun:

-Go to a garage sale and see who can get the best deal for a dollar
-Have your photo taken with as many strangers as possible in one night just walking down the street
-Have your charicature done
-Go prospecting for gold
-Go to a nude beach (cough) (with clothes on if you prefer ;)
-put on some big rubber boots and go puddle-jumping
-Roll down a hill
-Go to a waterslide


Well there are very very many... and hard to sort through haha. Actually I have the list printed out and I'm working on doing it with my friend :) Maybe some of the ones I mentioned would be useful.

Oh, I've been there too many times to count. I'm actually going over for my cousin's wedding, they are getting married in Redcar, but I'll be spending most of my time in the Leeds/Bradford/Yeadon area. My entire family is over there...� thanks anyway! :)

(In a city with a subway) - Take the subway to a random stop with a cool name, see what's around

-Get a stranger to buy you a drink (shouldn't be hard with your cute British accents...)

-Stand with one foot on each side of a border (state or national)

-Be "that guy" - buy a silly souvenir T-shirt and wear it at the site/in the city it's from

-Be real British - always walk on the left and see how many people you run into

-Go to a baseball game (though probably not a Yankee home game, if you want to save money, as tickets are spendy...someone(s) has to bank that huge payroll)

-Try a hot original glazed Krispy Kreme donut
-pick up the strangest looking souvenir postcard in whatever state you're in...even if you're just driving through it (or you can collect the gaudiest souvenir from each city you visit).

I could think of others....though they mostly lean towards food or specific location.

-Have a bagel with cream cheese and lox
-Get some soft serve from a Mister Softee truck
-Have dim sum in a chinatown restaurant (okay, really not NYC specific, but still yummy)
-Lay down in the Sheep Meadow of Central Park, people watch and have wraps delivered to you while you are in the Park (yes, this is possible)
-Go to Gray's Papaya for cheap hot dogs and Papaya drink

Emilie wants me to pass Curious Murray off to another Fruhead so they can take their picture with him and add a button or something.... and then pass him off to another Fruhead... and so on.. so that when Emilie is leaving the US she can get him back with all the pictures of Curious Murray with fruheads.

Hmmm...if you can get Murray to me by the end of next week, I can pass it onto  travelin' wormy, who I believe I will be seeing on Friday, who can bring it back to Canada or can take him along to some various concerts and such and pass him off later on.

Hello thank-you for all the ideas! Tickets are booked now so very very excited and stuff. Very tired so sorry for lack of enthusiasm!
