What comic strips do you read regularly? What are your favorites.

I read my comics in Newsday. My favorites are:

oh duh, I forgot to list the webcomics I read. heh. Sluggy Freelance, Goats, Something Positive, User Friendly, and Megatokyo. I'd read Waiting for Bob, too, if it ever came back.

my favourite ones are the ones that use commas. but that's another story.

I read Close to Home, Speed Bump, That's Life, Zits, Get Fuzzy, Pearls Before Swine, Foxtrot, Dilbert, Mutts, The Boondocks, Doonesbury, and Non Sequtur fairly religiously. I also tend to look at Classic Peanuts, Blondie, Beetle Bailey, Hagar the Horrible, Frank and Earnest, Shoe, Garfield, One Big Happy, Rhymes With Orange, and Pickles when my eyes happen to catch something amusing in them, but I don't particularly care if I miss them. and I read Sherman's Lagoon on Sundays, because I love anthropomorphism. I'd read Over the Hedge, too, if the Post carried it.

I also read The Wizard of Id and BC to see if Hart is up to his usual antics, and I read Baldo because it's where Dilbert used to be until they foolishly moved it to the Business section of the Post.

I've actually managed to break the habit of reading Dennis the Menace and Family Circus, though. it bothers me that the Post decided to alternate That's Life with Close to Home instead of replacing one of the other boring and stupid single panel comics with it. they've started doing that with Speed Bump, too, now, and yet they still waste space with Bil Keane's right idiocy.

and of course, I used to read the Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes when they were still going. (that's another thing - why are we getting unfunny Peanuts reruns and not Calvin and Hobbes reruns?)

I read the comics every day, and these are my top 3 favourites from the ones in my paper:

Yeah, it started a few weeks ago, Sundays only.

get fuzzy, fox trot, agnes, dilbert, boondocks, zits, and for better or for worse are the ones i read because i like them. i read most of the rest to make fun of them. especially brenda starr. i'm so hooked on the perky/pug/napster drama, it isn't even funny.

When I'm at home, I read all of the comics except Doonsbury, Rex Morgan M.D. (which is kinda funny to me because it's named after my grandfather), and sometimes The Piranha Club because it's just dumb and I don't know why I read it in the first place.

ahahaha. the d&c comics suck so much. they're like the sun-times comics here in chicago. i actually wrote a song about how bad the sun-times comics are. i am lame.

I don't get the paper, so I pretty much read the three that I get through Yahoo, which is Boondocks, Doonsbury, and Fox Trot.
My parents are also saving the sunday comics for me so I can read Opus.
When I get the paper, I tend to read all of the comics, even the bad ones. Some I like more than others though. Zits and Dilbert both have good moments. The Far Side rip-offs are sometimes funny (not often). I really like For Better or Worse, but since I don't tend to keep up on it, I find myself lost at times.
Get Fuzzy has it's moments too, more than most of the newer comics, but a lot of the time it comes off as a Sluggy Freelance clone/ripoff.

I used to read a number of web comics, but not much recently.

lately i've been WAY into graphic novels (a distant relative of the comic strip so still relevant to the thread - HA!).� my first love was elfQuest, but most recently i've been obsessed with reading manga.� My collection currently includes Cowboy Beebop, Cardcaptor Sakura: Master of the Clow, Dragon Knights, Hack//Sign, Iron Wok Jan, Planet Ladder, Nausaciaa of the Valley of Winds, Inu-Yasha, Ranma 1/2, Juline, Shaolin Sisters, Castle in the Clouds, and Spirited Away. Soon to be adding Trigun, Shaman King, and Chronicles of the Cursed Sword.�� anyone else as obsessed or at least read manga?

i am tentatively into manga. tentative because i know it's such a big medium, & i don't know how much of it i'd like if i just dove in.

but i worship akira (& anything by the author/artist) & i like astro boy. i love cowboy bebop, but i didn't know it was a manga as well? same with spirited away.

Zippy! Then Doonesbury, then Boondocks, then Peanuts, then Curtis. Then Zippy again to see if I understand it any better. :P

I used to read a dozen webcomics and everything in the paper.

Now, I occasionally flip by PA or PVP, and when I'm at mom and dad's I pull out the newspaper to read Heart of the City.

Tab groups are my friend. Every morning when I get to work, the first thing I do is pop open a new Safari window and open my Comics group in tabs: PvP (which means I get to read the day before's, since he seems to update for a given day at 6pm), Angst Technology (almost on hiatus as long as I've been Waiting for Bob), User Friendly (out of some sort of geek loyalty, not because I've been entertained by it at any point in the past year), Sinfest, Penny Arcade, Goats, Bob the Angry Flower (which only pays off once a week, but it's almost always worth it), and Knights of the Dinner Table (most of which I've read in the paper version before they recycle them on the web).

Oh, and I've got a "My Yahoo!" page that shows me Bookdocks, Foxtrot, and In The Bleachers if I ever remember to check it.

heh. yeah, I use tab groups for webcomics, too, but I have two of them - "daily" and "monday/wednesday/friday only," so I don't get tabs I automatically want to close. :)
