A hiatus theory . . .

   Discussion: A hiatus theory . . .
100% dainty! · 20 years, 7 months ago

An even better reason to get rid of Bush in 2004.

Many of us have been saying "When's the hiatus gonna end? Is it permanent?"

Many of the same people have been saying "How are we going to get Bush out of the White House?"

Well. . . has anyone noticed that Fruvous's last touring year was 2000, the last year before Bush took office? Maybe they refuse toperform or recordwhen we have such an abominable president. I mean, their popularity and success (especially in the US) pretty much coincides with The Clinton Years. 1992-2000

So I think the solution is to elect a Democrat in 2004, and then the hiatus will end.

best theory I've heard. :D

I'd go one further and say heck, just get rid of the current administration and break its power lock. I'm sure Fruvous would find a Green US president tolerable. Probably a Libertarian too.

Lower the age limits and get Higbee in office! Not that anyone but Carey and Gordon knows what the hell I'm talking about...

That isn't a reference to that INCREDIBLY messed up cult film...is it? (And what the HECK was the title, anyway?) I sat through it during Bad Movie Night (tm).

I hope you aren't talking about Wild in the Streets, a wonderful cult film.

Wonderful in the sense that Blind Rage was a wonderful movie?

wonderful in the sense that one is full of wonder that such a finely crafted turd should reach the screen.

Well, there's always Battlefield Earth, but that's the doing of a bunch of culties anyway.

Don't compare Wild in the Streets with Battlefield Earth. It has first rate Wyle-Mann songs in it. It is one of the ultimate sixties films.

A Libertarian? Um, when they said, "Homeless are stupid, welfare is stupid," I don't think they meant they SUPPORTED that idea.
