What about that old Canadian band that used to play there, Moxy... Moxy... Frsomething.... They were cool, back in the day. ;o)
sigh . . . .they're on my most wanted for EVERYTHING list.
Oh! let's boycot the hiatus! Maybe if we ignore it and refuse to acnowledge it, you know, go to fruvous concerts in spite of the hiatus, buy new fruvous albums, it'll fade out of existence.
dude, that would be so awesome! Someone needs to take over FDC, and start posting concert information and news as to what the fru-lads are up to, so they cannot duck under the radio anymore. maybe if we start announcing concerts, the lads will just show up to play!
Perfect!Dec. 5, Meriwether post pavilion, Moxy Fruvous, LIVE IN CONCERT!!
And for THE FIRST TIME EVER . . .Moxy Fruvous at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Arizona! Arizona is one of the handful of great states that Fruvous has never graced with their presence. . .but now, due to such high demand (something like five people who have heard of them here!), they'll be playing . . .LIVE! December Tour Schedule: 2 (Tuesday) Iota,Arlington VA 3 (Weds) Birchmere, Arlington VA 4(Thursday) appearance on WRNR radio, Annapolis, 9 am. Rams Head Tavern, Annapolis MD, 8 pm. 5 (Friday) Meriwether Post Pavilion, Columbia MD 6 (Saturday) The Barns at Wolf Trap, Vienna VA 9 (Tuesday) opening a four-night engagement at The Point, Bryn Mawr PA. 10 (daytime) 2-hour appearance on The World Cafe, WXPN radio. 13 (Saturday) Maxwell's, Hoboken NJ 16 double engagement at The Bottom Line, NYC 17 opening 2-night engagement at The Iron Horse, Northhampton MA 18 Club Passim, Boston MA 19 pre-Christmas bash, Rochester NY 30-31 Lee's Palace, Toronto ON. JANUARY MIDWESTERN TOUR SCHEDULE COMING SOON. FEBRUARY: THE WEST COAST,PLUSSTOPS INARIZONA.Also -- 2 nights of FruCon performances, with friends Tory Cassis and Great Big Sea opening!! Keep an eye on this site for updates!
SWEEEEEEET!! I likey your tour schedule! Don't forget the TLA in Philly though. :)
I figured 4 nights in Bryn Mawr covered Philly. But we can add a TLA date in March. CORRECTION Please note: December 17 and 18 are both at the Iron Horse. December 19 is Club Passim, Boston. December 20 is Rochester, venue to be announced. We love our Rochesterian Fruheads! Negotiations are underway with the Tralf in Buffalo for December 28.
The Bottom Line is closed for good as of a few days ago. I'd suggest BB King's or my place.
the lads are saddened that the Bottom Line has closed, but they're glad they got to play a final engagement there this past December. i'm sure for future tours they'll be delighted to play in your living room.
Oh... this was 12/2003. So who taped? C'mon... lets share! ;)
i've often thought i need to store a cot and a few changes of clothes at the point. :D
january, of course, will include a stop at the vic in chicago, an appearance on wxrt, and a house concert in the living room of carey farrell and neal shankman.
not to mention their harmony singing, songwriting, and performance workshops at the old town school of folk music, and dave and murray's guest appearances with kevin o'donnell's national quartet.
After their triumphant February Westcoast/Southwest tour, the lads will be returning to the studio to record their best album to date. The widest spectrum of styles, melodies, harmonies, and musianship, paired with political savvyiness, irrepressible cheekiness, heartbreaking poingancy, and just plain romping good fun will satisfy even the most finicky fan.
An end of May worldwide CD release bonanza, with satellite linked parties joining in on the fun, will kick off the summer season. This is making me drool. . .Maybe it's like visualization. "If you believe it, they will come!" Also, included on the CD will be a secret track called "you insensitive clod" featuring THREE luckyFruhead guest musicians! Fruvous has started a contest for all the fruheads. Tell them in 50 words or less why you would like to be onFruvous's best album to date.Points are awarded for creativity!
Dude, totally not cool. I'll be in Rochester for the Philly dates and in Philly for the Rochester dates!!! Switch 'em up!
Sorry, but Fordy insists on being at home for the holidays. You'll just have to postpone your winter break.
But but but.... I have my cousin's wedding on the 20th!!! :o( :o( :o(!!!
Very well then. In an effort to accommodate the bereft Rai, during the last week of February --before the lads head into the studio to record their newest CD --they will play 1 engagement at RIT and 1 engagement at SUNY-Buffalo. Dates and times TBA. Needless to say, bassist Murray Foster is taking a temporary leave of absence from Great Big Sea (FruCon dates excepted). He expects to reappear withGBS following the summer 2004 festival circuit.
Don't forget the return of Moxy Fruvous to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival for a special Saturday night full-length headlining set, with an after-party at the Budgiedome!
Again? They played the budgiedome last year. Do we really want them back?
Perhaps you feel that way and you are entitled to your opinion but you know that he is also a friend of Carey and me and to put it like that is simply rude.
Loving me is creepy?
I'm creepy but that makes loving me a virtue.
oOloving him is easy cos he's creepified.Oo
um, ok, no. Gee, and I was wondering where they'd gotten to. Wait a minute ... *looks under radio* Nope. Not under mine, anyway. If they're under yours, by all means drag them out and make them sing for us!
Dude, sorry, but if fruvous is under my radio, I'm keeping them all to myself. :)

I just found out that the Kennedys aren't playing FRFF this year. They will still be there as fans though. They might do a gig at their manager's booth.
I got a big kick out of their 'set' outside their vending tent a couple years ago. Sadly the neighboring vendors didn't appreciate it quite so much. - Jason Somehow they are always there. Maybe Falcoln Ridge is going to go for more variety this year cause of the criticism of last years anniversary show. There is no info on the official website. Every year they seem to get later and later with info. Not complaining, just hoping the festival won't go on hiatus like Winterhawk has. Last year the crowd was as big as the farm could handle. If it gets any bigger they may need another place to have it which would be a shame as the farm is a great place for a concert. They won't go on hiatus. Already the dates have been confirmed for 2004 as it is. As for moving the site, that is anyone's guess. None of us are "insiders".
that's horrible. :-(
not that i'll be there anyway. *growl* You must first create an account to post.
