I actually had to add that option. Obviously Gordon isn't an only child ;-)
Yes I did. It's weird that it didn't show up.

I have one brother and one sister...the sister being the one who is married, with child again and had the kid whose photos are scattered throughout my profile. The two siblings are both older, so I am the youngest and YES, I was spoiled relative to the other two and got away withmore stuff than either of them at a much younger age. *thwap* no fair. *i* want to be spoiled and get away with stuff. ...no wait, i do get spoiled and get away with stuff! go me! :D Yes, and on those mornings you just want to start the day yelling at someone...It's kinda bad when that someone is the authority figure. I was just explaining to my boyfriend about Father's Day as we were trying to figure out when each of us needed to be where. "I'm the only kid...the party doesn't start until I get there!" How's that for an only attitude! i'm the only child of a single mom. moderately functional 2-parent families still confuzzle me. i've actually heard the following come out of my mouth when talking to my boyfriend, "what do you mean your mom doesn't know how to do that?" (usually, or almost always in reference to a mechanical/home repair situation). & of course, James looks at me & says, "well, that's dad's sort of thing." being an only has made me very independent & quite honestly, a bit on the distant side. as for the whole blaming your siblings for breaking the lamp or whatever... that's minor.i guess i don't know what i'm really missing, since my mom & her sister have always fought tooth &nail (mom was 10 & threw a knife at my 16yr old aunt 'cause they got into a fight in the kitchen... it stuck in the doorframe as my aunt was leaving) it's a tradeoff though. i don't have to share & i don't if i don't wanna. ;-) i only have to buy 1 present for the holidays & never have to worry about remembering everyone's anniversaries/birthdays. the down side is that since my mom's been sick, i'm the one who drives her everywhere. i've called in my cousin a couple times since he lives closer, but usually i just get up at the butt-crack of dawn & take mom to the doctor.

I have a sister who's three years older than me, and a brother who's thirteen years younger.
I was pretty much a youngest through the developmental years. my sister and I get along so long as we don't live in the same house, and preferably not the same city. My brother is the single most important person in my life.

One of my sisters is 6.5 years older than me and the other 10.5.
There was a janitor at my High School who was one of 27 children (all by the same 2 parents, and I don't think there were any twins or triplets or anything). I know this is a bit of a non-sequitor, but does anybody out there know anyone who has more than 26 siblings? I'm rather curious
The all-time record is 69 kids by one mother. They were all multiple births. I don't remember the exact number but I think she had just under 30 pregnencies.
If every one of her kids had 69 more, she's have 4,761 grandkids. The next generation would have a third of a million kids. Heh. :)

there wasn't an option for 1.5, so i naturally said i can't count that high. :D i have a younger sister and an older half-brother, but the half-brother lives in poland so i've only ever met him once. he may be coming state-side in the next few years tho. we shall see. not sure how i feel about having an older brother around... 2 brothers.
2 girlfriends of the brothers, who are far more acceptable daughters than i am. and 2 friends of the brothers who spend more time at my parents house with my family than i did in all my years living there. i don't like any of them. i want to adopt leah and stacey as my sisters. except that might make it illegal for stacey to be my girlfriend as well. insert some sort of west virginia lesbian joke here. thank you.

My older Sisters are 7 and 8 1/2 years older and my little brother is 9 days short of 2 years younger than (him 7/9/68 and me 7/18/66). Both of the older children's of each pair names start with "P" and have brown eyes the younger with "L" and blue eyes (Patricia, Leigh Anne, Paul (hey! that's my name too!) and Lyle). My father was older than my mom and he also had brown eyes and she blue. When my father left both my sisters loyalty went with him (for a time) and my brother and I were young enough to stand by our mother... Kinda split us into two separate families for a considerable amount of time... Weird.
If we're talking in-laws I've got a sister-in-law, who's f-cking wonderful! She's like the best person ever. Then there are the many friends who I consider family, many of my friends who my family considers family. Not going to list them all, but warning, if you become a friend of mine, and go to either of my parents house for dinner, you're stuck, you are family. I'm sorry, there's no way around it, unless you're a real ass. But then if you were a real ass to my family, I wouldn't want to be a friend of yours. So.. yup, slippery slope.

There's a nice bell curve here except that there are people with 3 and 5 siblings but none with 4? Is there some sort of rule that that the Fruhead gene prohibits having exactly 5 children?

One brother, Matt; one sister, Megan.
We all have short first names 'cause Mom didn't want us to have to go nuts learning two long names (you try spelling Skudlarek at age 5. :-P) I get along with both of them with no problem. As long as I don't have to live with either of them. :-D -- Pauley

I have one brother, who's older than me by four years. My mother had a miscarriage a year before I was conceived/born (I'm not sure which), and my parents think that child was a boy. Of course, everyone but my paternal grandma thought I was a boy when my mom was pregnant with me. My brother's okay. We foughtfairly often as kids, but we also played together. He played Barbies with me.We made Barbie have sex. I also liked playing with his Matchbox cars, He-Man figuines, and such. He's quiet like my dad. He's into bodybuilding these days and wasthinking ofapplying for a job as a prison guard (yikes!). Neek is my non-blood sister. I love her to bits and would do anything for her.
