I think I must be possessed by a group therapy demon. In any event I have the uncontrollable urge to start another thread. Name one thing you'd like to change about yourself. I'll start off. I'd like to not procrastinate. I'm going to get fixing that problem tomorrow.

I'd like to not smoke anymore. Like, not just for a few months. I hate being a smoker, but not as much as I hate not having a cigarette.

Well part of the problem is there are a lot of things I CAN control. But the fear stops me from doing what I need to to control them.

What things can you control?

I think what you're getting at Josh, is that she should buy a manual car, because, damn it, if you have no control over anything else in your life, that car is going to shift when YOU want it to shift!

Automatics suck.

Well, I can control my procrastination, my goofing off at work, and other things like that which are flaws in myself that I could control if I had the will. And the effects of them put me in constant terror of when everything will fall apart. But I tend to also get terrified of the actions I'd have to face to overcome those with will, and it's all a viscious circle and I'm a loser and the whole mess makes me hate myself more and blah blah blah but I'm under no delusion that it's necessarily out of my control.

How do you read my mind?

The only thing I can think of to improve myself is to be closer to Ellen, because I would eat better and get more excersize!

I want to get the motivation to go back to school. I mean... I WANT to go back to school. But REALLY finding the motivation is different, you know?

If you find some send the excess to me. I need to go back to grad school and get my doctorate.

I would most definitely change my response to stressful situations. Regardless of the magnitude of stress involved, I almost always have a panic attack. I'd love to get rid of that.
