My new Murray...

Well, my brother called me and said he had to get rid of his cat, Murray (my brother had named him).  Apparently it wasn't adjusting to the new baby in the house.  He wanted me to take him in instead of sending him to the pound, so I obliged.  So I now have a Murray in the house.

Anyway, I was wondering, how many of you have pets named after band members, either accidently or on purpose?

Well, you could stretch and say my Luna connects to YWGTTM...but, as I said, it's a stretch. :)

When a friend got a kitten and we had gotten her into Fruvous she named her cat Laika.

My dog's named "Indiana Jones."  :)

Not a band member, but hell, a character from a movie. :)

I really like that since as his father said, "Indiana was dog's name."

"We named the *dog* Indiana." I love that movie far too much.

My dad used to put one of those knit headbands on my dog when it was really cold. She didn't like it at first but got used to it after a while. Funniest thing to watch. Sarah

Rob and I have two gerbils the female is named Wendy and the male is named Stan. They are both named after the characters in South Park.  I had a dog named Willy Wonka (he was a show dog we adopted).

 

I'm getting a bunny this spring and I'm thinking of either naming it Moxy or Fruvous. I will wait until I pick one out to name it to see which name would suit it best. I begged and begged my parents to let me have one last fall but they suggested I wait until spring so I can be around it more and it won't see me as a stranger. I wish I could be around my dog more. She used to sleep in my room sometimes when she was a puppy but for half her life I've been away at college. There are pics of her and my other doggie in my profile. Sarah

I believe JillMom's cat is named Foxy Fruvous. 

I did a Google search once and got a pic of 2 cats, one named Moxy and one named Fruvous.

Aurora came with her name - it was too good to change.  My mom's cats, Belle and Brady, are named after characters on Days of our Lives.  *sigh*

my brother and sis-in-law recently got 2 new kittens from a shelter, and they came with the names "ophelia" and "phineas"....talk about too good to change!!!

um. aren't we forgetting about my guinea pig? murray foster? :D

I used to have a fish named Oliver, after multi-instrumentalist/insane person/coolest guy in the world Oliver Steck.

oh yeah. i had two goldfish called mike and dave, too :D

and we had another guinea pig called mr. brown aka jian lookalike of the month. he had long dark curly hair with a gingery bit at the front that looked suspiciously like jian's thornhill haircut :D
