Are "cute" and "hot" necessarily on the same continuum? I mean, I think some people are amazingly cute yet not at all hot. And I think that some hot people aren't really cute.

I think I was inspired by the Simpson's and Moe's line "I've been called Fugly, Pug Fugly, but not Ugly" ..or whatever the line is. It makes me laugh and I thought it would be a good option, but only if quoted accurately.

Other options would have been "like a bug in a rug" and "as a button" but I couldn't decide!!! I'm so apathetic sometimes. hee hee. henceforth, I create a paper version first before submission.

I was completely adorable until I was 8 years old. My descent into ugliness seemed to coincide with when my hair got chopped into a very ugly style...before that it was long and wavy.

Nowadays I have my moments of cute...I'm usually wavering between "I look OK" and "I look like crap". I'll never be as cute as I was as a child. And I don't think I'll ever be "pretty" or "hot". *shrug* But I can deal with cute when those moments come.

i modeled (commercials, magazines, etc) from the age of 2 until i was nearly 11. then puberty beat me with the ugly stick and my agency dropped me. i was never quite the same. ^_^

I used to be a BIG "people pleaser" but I found it was a loosing hand most of the time. Now I'm ok with "me", but I hope to improve when I can, and stay healthy & happy!

This discussion goes to show that how hot you think you are and how hot OTHERS think you are are completely unconnected.

The difference is clearly exacerbated in the case of women. I personally think I'm pretty good looking. Not a hunk by any means, but pretty good. Better than I was when I was younger.

At the same time I look at all of you women (the ones I know anyway) and all of you are in the range somewhere between "comely" and "breathtakingly beautiful" and yet you all think you look awful!

How can one get you to see that you don't have to look like some supermodel to be beautiful? You've got great faces, great hair great curves, great shoulders (you know who you are!). I love hanging out with fruheads, if for no other reason, just because of all the brilliant and beautiful women! (And of course SEXY Norg, but that is a different issue) Jeez! What has a guy got to do to get you chicks to like yourselves already?!

Granted, there are some that deserve a low rating, but the ratings I put up on that site tend to average toward the higher end, for most everyone.
