Russell Wolff

For all of you Russell Wolff fans - please be advised that he's been hospitalized for the second time - this time in New York and has had to have emergency throat surgery - He'll be okay - but the recovery process is very long and he'll appreciate all the support you can give him. Email is great - but he won't be able to reply for awhile.

If you talk to him, please let him know that we send our love, and our thoughts are with him!!

Thanks - He has his laptop now - so he will be much happier and more comfortable!

Russell My thoughts and Prayers are with you. Thank you for sending Kevin in your stead. He was a worthy replacement, and did you justice. I hope for a speady recovery.

He got a major infection in his neck and had to be hospitalized... he was released, but then had to go back in in NY and have a few different surgeries.
He is apparently beginning to recover, but it's going to be a long process... and he's being watched very closely and can't speak.
(That's what I just heard from his brother, at least.)

He is, however, able to check email about once a day, so anyone who wants to send him get well wishes, I'm sure it would be appreciated.

I'm sure that we are all sending our get-well vibes his way. I know that I am.

There is a thread on Beasi.net that you can also post a get well message in. I have sent Russell the link, so can be sure to read it.

I'm on AIM with Russell now, and he's given me a bit of an update and wanted to share it with folks concerned:
He's still in the hospital, survived the surgery and is speaking (tho with some difficulty and pain). The infection hasn't subsided and in fact seems to be fighting back with a vengeance. He's hoping to see a throat/jaw specialist in the next day or so for more tests.
He's written a few songs, tho in his words definitely NOT his best work ;) His spirits are a little down (*understatement*), so I'm sure any kind words you send his way would be greatly appreciated.

They let him out of the hospital today (Monday).
Quoth Russell via AIM: "i still however have tons of in home IV coming to me and daily trips to the surgeon."

He also hasn't shaved his head or face, he said he looks like a lumberjack! And he's ok!

Russell told me today that he might be getting off the IV today!
