How do you hang your toilet paper?

The only reason they hang it underhand at some public bathrooms it to make it harder to unravel the thing. Overhand is the only way to go.

I really wish there had been an option for "Not consistently either way"...I just hang it whatever direction I happen to be holding it in...and get chastized when the result isn't overhand. :) I just don't care enough to bother training myself one way. *I* can get my toilet paper fine no matter what direction it's in. :)
And, either way it hangs, half of it gets into the paws of naughty kitties. :)

I'm all about underhand. It just seems neater to me. It's totally an aesthetic thing. I don't get the part about it being more difficult to unravel, though... the public restrooms I have a problem with are the ones who make the dispenser not fit the roller... you know, so it is impossible to move the roll at all, no matter which way the paper is hanging.

with a little folded point like they have at your finer hotels. Ok, not really. But there was a radio story on some show about a woman who collects those tp points. She's thinks she's traced the history back to one person. and yes, naughty kitties don't care how the toilet paper is hanging.

I hang it at dawn in the town square! Bad paper! Naughty paper! It killed my wife!
That's my answer. When I use toilet paper with a print pattern I'm more likely to hang it overhand.
I saw one of these nice toilet paper stands that goes beside the toilet for cases like the design of the upstairs bathroom. I tried to talk my Dad into getting one since he complains about it the most. He said it was a great idea and that was it. Nothing more happened.

I have a stand like that. I got it for like $20 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Very handy.

BACK THE FREAKIN' TRUCK UP!!!! Re: the above posting entitled "Bleh" (the one with my girlfriend sitting on her pet ani's shoulder!). THE AUTHOR IS A FONT OF MISLEADING INNUENDO AND A PURVEYOR OF BLANTANT FALSEHOOD!!! Despite her seeming to indicate that she cares not which way she hangs the Toilet Paper, she is leading you on a path of deception... Yes, she has hung the paper both underhanded and PROPERLY, but what she fails to acknowledge, is that in our entire relationship (which has just celebrated its first anniversary!) she has done so precisely *ONCE* in either direction!!! ...Hell, I recently bought and installed a handy roll extender that gives us a second, back up roll - just in case - and, the other day, I still found both the new *and* the old rolls empty! That smart-mouthed, low-down, sneaky, rasi-frasin' wabbit!
Yup....I'm definitely an apathetic, inconsistent sort of girl when it comes to hanging toilet paper.....though, thanks to this poll, it will probably get added to the list of things I'm obsessive-compulsive about.
Underhand is just wrong. Overhand is the only way to go.
In my experience mods are really smart. This just proves my point.

I have a suspicion about me... I hate sticky things. Ooh I hate sticky things.

I have an underhand mother and an overhand father. There used to be a great deal of passive-aggressive changing the way the roll was hanging. I hang mine overhand, but I don't feel strongly about it.
Tracing history? Collecting?
Some people have way too much free time.

My Backaroo Banzia poll didn't! I mean seash, who cares about Toilet paper! However I do feel that the names of the people who said they don't use toilet paper should have there names posted at the top of FHDC and we shall shun them in all public events for their lack of hygene!

I voted "on the counter", but really I most often place the new roll on top of the empty tube still in the tp holder. Yes, I am that lazy. Also, since we're talking about TP, I can't stand to use colored, or patterned TP. Just white, and occasionally that "natural" brown that looks like paper towels you get in some public bathrooms. Colored tp seems so fussy, especially pink or flowered tp. Also, I think I heard once that colored tp was bad for you, so I gave it up and never looked back. Anyone else ever heard about colored tp being a health hazard or is it something I just imagined?
I doubt it's harmful, it's probably one of those things that goes around, like rice swelling up in birds stomachs causing them to explode, or pop rocks and soda.. and was it the red m&m's that were supposed to be hazardous to your health? Or was the the yellow ones? Anyway, my point is, it's unlikely.
Um, dude, were you a math major or something. You put in way too much thought into the whole TP situation.

I love those giant rolls of tp in restaurant bathrooms. Back when I lived in Kenmore, we had no money and were always running out of tp, so anytime we were near the end of the role and had no money, I'd visit the local McDonalds and use a little luggage key, to open the tp holder, and steal the role. Those rolls lasted months!! It was wonderful. I recommend stealing tp from McDonalds.. Especially if you use your debit card there.. as they charge 15 cents.. so after using debit there a few times, it about equals the price of one of those rolls.
it was the red dye that they found to be a carcinogen. but they found a new one. *can't imagine a world without red m&m's*
