When I was young, 4th and 5th Grade I read mainly non-fiction. About 90% of what I read was science books along with some history and biography. My sister still can't get over finding me in my room in bed with this huge biography of Chaim Weizmann.
Now I read a mix. My favorite fiction genres are Science Fiction, Fantasy, Adventure, and Classics.
Most of my non-fiction is still science, right now I'm reading. Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions by my future wife, [she doesn't know that yet, dont tell her] Lisa Randall
I guess Al Franken's The Truth with Lies counts as non-fiction but it feels like humor.
both I read fiction and non fiction. Alot of liberal stuff like Al Franken etc. I like historical fiction too. I am reading one of my daughters favorite authors Neil Gaiman. It is very bizarre unsettling stuff. The guys obsessed with Gods. I am also reading Sideways the book by Rex Pickett which was made into a movie recently.

Generally, I read to escape, so I'm most likely reading fiction. Sci-fi, fantasy, thrillers... anything to distract me from real life. I still read non-fiction on occassion, generally biographies or WWII histories.

At the moment, I'm reading Alexander Hamilton and Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation. They're both rather weighty, I can't carry Hamilton around with me. :)
I do, however, read a lot of non-fiction as well. Almost anything I can get my hands on... not so much lately, however, i don't have as much time to read as I used to. Except for stuff required for school. Which is ruined by the things that come with it.

But every once in a while, I'll get sucked into a Tuesdays With Morrie. And then I have a weepfest.

i usually have one book to travel with and one book to read at home...so i try to mix and match one of each so i don't get the stories confused. Right now i'm reading "Hitching Rides With Buddah" by William Ferguson on the go - a travelogue about following the cherry blossom front up Japn - and Terry Goodkind's "Chainfire" at home. He his one of my fantasy gods.

well, i've been reading a lot of non-fiction for school. although, i have been doing a fair bit of reading in the linguistic arena just ofr me and my interests.
i read fiction for fun and for on buses and to settle down before sleeping. and when i have time i love to read the paper in the morning. i enjoy the economist but it's so dense in articles that i don't have time to really get into it.
Is that Rabbits that live in Reading Pa? Or Reading England? Perhaps in Reading Gaol?
Did you ever take a ride on the Reading railroad and pass go and collect $200?
While at work today, I misread a jar of Bobos Salsa.
