Any Fruhead drummers lurking out there in Chicago? I've been playing the local solo/duo-acoustic-singer-songwriter scene for a while and would love to get some beats and backing vocals to fill out the sound a bit. Most of the material I've been playing at gigs is original (see http://rudeyak.com for samples) and many of the songs are Fruvous-inspired, at least in the lyric-writing. If you're interested, drop me a line.
Cheers.
Erick.
sorry - not a drummer. But if you ever want to put a horn section together....and um, you're in Vancouver, give me a call. *grin*
Me too! (I live by Lisa..)
I'm a drummer/singer.. but I might have to move to chicago one day...there are too many govn't cuts to believe there will be a good paying job in my feild when school is done! :P My husband and I have a blues/soul band.. but I have been writing a few songs lately that fall into your style... frum me if ya wannna, and good luck! ~J~
*grin* I can sing fairly well (not amazing range, but I have good pitch and harmonizing abilities). I'm also taking drumset lessons and (godwilling) will be going to Northwestern next year. Which, I suppose, is really far away, so.. ahh.. right.
