Poll: What's your favorite science?

I voted for physics but astronomy is up there.

Scientology i'm assuming is a joke. Everyone knows that Dianetics is the "modern science of mental health" and Scientology is the associated religion.

Computer science isn't really a science. The theory is a branch of mathematics and the application is technology.

My first reaction was that this was one of my polls.

I think you really mean, "Scientology is the associated corporation."

If I'm reading about it, I'm fascinated by physics, astronomy, mathematics, all of the stuff that winds up having the classic blackboard-sized equations. The numbers go right over my head, but I'm good at grasping the concepts.

If I'm doing the work, then I tend to lean towards biology, because (at the level I've taken it) it has the least to do with numbers.

Of course, I'm also fascinated with Experimental Theology, but that's another world...

Not really a fan of science. Astronomy might have been if I didn't have such a crap for crap experience in college. I guess I'll have to go with CS...I did well with that and didn't hate it too much. :)

..i should have voted Comptuer since it's what my degree is and all, but really i was always a sucker for Geology.

I was always a dunce at science. I did totally rock academic chem, but that's because my teacher was super easy and liked me.

I teach/have taught Earth Science, Biology, General Science, and Environmental Science. I really couldn't choose. Each have their high points and low points.

Which one has the lowest highest point?

My favorate is science fiction.

Seeing as I just got my degree in it. Right up there in line, though, is geology.

i voted for physics because the physics of music class that i took was my favorite science class EVAR.

but after i voted i saw that biology encompassed all medical sciences so I might have chosen that one since i've been studying neurology for the rehabilitative sciences.

You voted right, physics rocks the casbah. I want to take physics of music. The one problem I could never really figure out on my own is where the energy comes from to amplify the sounds in a string instrument. If you just pluck a string in the air it isn't nearly as loud. I know it has to do with resonance but that doesn't say where the energy comes from. Move of the energy of pluck goes into sound in guitar than in an isolate string. So where does the other energy go? Heat? Does it vibrate longer?
