my poll passed whatever tests josh has been putting the polls thru!

for the record, i sleep in a fetal position, but with the broken ankle, i have to sleep on my back, and it's making it impossible for me to get to sleep at night.
Josh Woodward Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
It passed the turing test. Only the smartest polls make it through.
sheryls Back · 19 years, 8 months ago

i sleep that way too, usually.

I sleep on my left side - you?

and i usually have to have a second pillow on top of my left arm and under my right arm.

and one leg sticking out of the covers.

hi, i'm a werido.

stealthlori Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
I can't sleep at all on my back, either.

I also can't sleep outside. Must feel sheltered/surrounded by walls and ceiling, no matter how flimsy.

I used to sleep on my stomach, but my back can't handle that anymore, so it's usually on my side or at a 45-degree-ish angle between side and stomach, in a wonderful "en garde!" sort of pose. :D

I tend to sleep on my stomach, unless I'm so tired I fall asleep before I roll over. but I almost always wake up on my back, which means I must roll over during the night.
Talcott Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
That's pretty much how I sleep too. If I'm really tired, I can doze off on my back, but it takes me a good bit longer.

Then again, I'm also quite skilled at falling asleep while sitting up infront of the tv. That's one of the reasons I don't watch movies late at night all that often.
Brian Dinsky · 19 years, 8 months ago

I tend to sleep on my side/stomach, and just about always face a wall, regardless of which side of the bed it happens to be on. Of course, I sleep maybe 3 or 4 hours per night, for 4-6 days a week. Once or twice a week, I'll sleep for 12-14 hours.

Hey, as long as it adds up, jerk.

5 weeks 'til FRFF! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

(I typed each one of those 'o''s, as this keyboard is from circa 1870, and refuses to auto-fire keypresses, unlike The [rockin'] NES Advantage controller.)

Damn, I'm good at rolling off-topic.

Starfox · 19 years, 8 months ago
When I'm getting to sleep I tend to roll over and over. Start out on my back, then to one side, then the other, then onto my stomach, then back onto my back. I dunno why, just always been that way. It usually takes me 20-30 minutes to fall asleep unless I'm dead tired.

I seem to usually wake up on one side or the other though.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 8 months ago

Ditto on most of this.

I'll go to sleep on a side, usually. But I know from the times I wake up all night and from sleepmates informing me, that I toss and turn a LOT. So I usually finally fall asleep on a side and wake up on a side but there's a ton in between. :)

Partly, though, I just can't stay on one side indefinitely because my hips begin to hurt. My joints are always problematic. I'm old and arthritic, I think.

zil · 19 years, 8 months ago

I don't sleep.

I average 2 hours of sleepa night. and its been mostly no sleep unless heavily medicated since the fall of 2000.

*huggles* I love your screen name!!!!
zil Back · 19 years, 8 months ago

well... some one kind of kicked my ass for being so self hate-y and was like "you're loved by many!" so I was like, ".... ... m'kay." and changed my sn.

sheryls Back · 19 years, 8 months ago

i got BNL in my head :D

goovie is married! Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
i had it in my head while writing this poll. so. yes.
Songbill Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
the ironic thing when I think about the intention of that song is that Paul sleeps with a much younger woman on a big gigantic pile of money. Anyway...
renita · 19 years, 8 months ago
i'm a back sleeper nowadays, and less of a thrasher. though i used to move around like crazy.

i only sleep on my stomach once in a while, and for short naplike periods, like after hitting snooze. but i'm trying to stop that as it led to a stiuation after which i could say "i sprained my neck" (yes this is true.)
It's a girl! Back · 19 years, 8 months ago

I seem to favor sleeping mostly on my back but slightly turnedwith my legs spread across the bed. I also have to have the pillow held between my arms and my head resting on my hands.

I'm not sure if I described that right. It may be physically impossible.

Gordondon son of Ethelred · 19 years, 8 months ago
Was this polll used because I couldn't get any sleep last night? I gave up at 3:30 since I had to wake up at 4:45 anyway.
Gordondon son of Ethelred · 19 years, 8 months ago
While I do thrash about I very often start off sleeping like a body in a coffin, on my back with my legs straight out and my arms folded on my chest.
Shelly Back · 19 years, 8 months ago

like a vamPYRE?

{sorry. i read that and envisioned andrew in his 'masterpiece theatre'-esque garb from 'telling stories' in my head *g* }

nate... · 19 years, 8 months ago
but less than it used to.

Usually I fall asleep rolled over onto my right-hand side basically on my stomach, cuddled up with a pillow.

Sometimes, though, when I can't sleep, I roll onto my back and sleep that way with my head to the side.

I think perhaps you'll be able to tell a lot about who has sleep disorders and who doesn't by this poll. :)
Kris 'engaged' Bedient · 19 years, 8 months ago
I sleep on my left side. I fall asleep quickly because I'm always tired when I go to bed. I don't thrash, awake or asleep. I don't know what position I'm in when I wake up because I'm moving to turn off the 4 alarms I have and I'm asleep when I start moving.
stealthlori · 19 years, 8 months ago
I think we should all get together and not sleep in the same place. And, liek, take pictures of all these groovy poses. And. Stuff.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
We can't take pictures, we'll all be asleep.
stealthlori Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
i think the above discussion indicates that at least a few of us are likely not to be.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
They will all be at the solo orgy.
stealthlori Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
quite possibly.

but does that mean you WON'T be?

i mean geez, you've wanted to be at an orgy for YEARS and YEARS, and now there's one in your own backyard!

there's just no pleasing some people. :P
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 8 months ago
I thought you'd be hurt if I turned down your slumber party to take part in an orgy, especially a solo orgy.
