Discover your inner Geekiness
Since many forum threads have topics including Monty Python, obscure movie references and tech stuff, I have convinced myself that on some level, we all have some geekiness. http://www.innergeek.us/geek.html I am 22% Geek. Not a LOT, mind you, but keep in mind they don't know about the Arrogant Worms, the fact that I gave my cars names and say "he" rather than "it" when referring to them, and they obviously don't think much about Xena fans or people who always watch The Simpsons and make vague, misunderstood quotes from the show.

Oh yeah.
34.12229% - Total Geek - Cool...What can I say?...I never got into roleplaying or programming languages (which seemed very heavily biased in this test).

It does seem a bit biased....I mean, they should have had more about obscure music, literature, and video games. They could have mentioned that one guy......what was his name again? Locks E Doogus?
Of course, there's no denying that mentioning They Might Be Giants was quite groovy of them.
33.13609% - Total Geek I guess Michael will be disappointed in me.

i'm just curious: has anyone here ever been (or know someone who has been) to see a movie actually dressed up as one of the characters? i mean, seriously. do people actually do this? (note: fandom is nonexistent in the UK.) :D

i'm just curious: has anyone here ever been (or know someone who has been) to see a movie actually dressed up as one of the characters? You mean besides Rocky Horror Picture Show? It's pretty much de rigueur there. Dunno about movies but there was alot of people dressed as HP characters in the lineups for TooP, so I hear.

My friend Brad dressed as Boba Fett for the premiere of Episode II. As he left his house, his mom said, "You know, people are gonna think you're an idiot dressed like that." He responded quite calmly, "No mom. They'll think I'm a God." He was right. He was worshipped.
Heh.
A god amongst nerds.
:)
i'm just curious: has anyone here ever been (or know someone who has been) to see a movie actually dressed up as one of the characters? i mean, seriously. do people actually do this? (note: fandom is nonexistent in the UK.) :D Yes! For the Star Wars Ep 1 premiere people dressed up.I believe Mike Wood or George has pictures from the Premiere in Toronto. Someone dressed up like Darth Maul. Ep 2 I didn't see at the theatres. For the original star wars premieres people dressed up. :) (before you were born *g*) When they were rereleased in 1997, they dressed up. For the CD release party of Sgt Pepper in 1987 ( june 1st 1987) people dressed in 60s garb and also dressed as the Beatles. (sorry not a movie) When TT was released, there were people dressed up in the theatre I went to. So I would have to answer yes to that question. :)
hehe, I definitely checked my box for that one. When the Matrix 2 came out all my friends and I dressed up as Matrix characters and went to it on opening night. Oh yeah! :-)

10.45365% I only have geekish tendencies. I know shit about computers and dont give a lick about star wars or star trek, so there it is. jen
29% ..i thought it would be way higher what with all the fantasy and anime i read and watch on a daily basis.
...and the fact that (one of) my dreams is to make it to the San Diego Comic Con (taking place next weekend). Biggest Comics Con in the country i guess, and of course i'd dress in costume as one of the ElfQuest characters to impress Richard and Wend Pini (the Creators of EQ). if that doesn't prove how much a geek i am, i don't think anything would....
I don't know how I missed this when it first came up.
I have to love this test though. It's one of the few that allows for lit-geeks, not just computer geeks!
Oh, and it had these two questions, in a row
-play with Lego
-listen to NPR or AM radio
Right there, that's me :-)
Anyways, I would be 43.58974% - Major Geek

Color me shocked. Or, you know, something completely opposite of shocked. :)

You make me feel better. :)
i didn't even answer yes to piers anthony, anything related to rocky horror, or anything even remotely to do with vampires. i luv my h0m3 n3tw0rk, y0e. :D glad i could make someone feel better with my total geekitude, tho. (: -= george =-
if we were to add our scores together, we wouldn't make a 100% geek yet. you need to do more geeky things. you better have checked off the thing about anime stuffs. :D -= george =-
