As soon as I submitted this one I realized I forgot it. Was it because you reminded me? Somebody did.

Though I do love my rock music, right now I've gotta lean towards blues. Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf, Colin Linden, George Leach - the list goes on. :)
You have to love Robert Johnson. Crossroad Blues is on my short list of greatest songs. The only boxed sets I own are
OK who's going to be the first one to remind me of a boxed set I forgot to mention?

i really think we've had this poll before.
i picked blues, cause it's my fastest-growing musical taste. also because the choice quotes an elton john song, which is my secret guilty pleasure.
Well, if that category is "pop," then, I guess so.
I think the issue is that there are two kinds of "pop".
One is the original usage... where "pop" is short for "popular".
The other "pop" usage is where it describes the musical style... it has a poppy fun-ness to it. That's the use that I'm thinking of when I describe those bands like FoW.
.oO We're coming to your town, we make annoying sounds, we're an accordion band.. Oo.
Hrmm...where is the other option? Where's the "Many of the Categories but not all" option? There is just too much other music that I like....that doesn't fit neatly into one of the genres. Hrm...which one to choose, which one to choose? Though if a "Showtunes" option were there, I probably would pick that one. </rant>

I dig rock and roll music and I love to get the chance to play and sing it. I figure it's about the happiest sound goin' down today. The message may not move me. Or mean a great deal to me. But hey! It feels so groovy to say! -those quintessential folkies: Peter, Paul and Mary *sigh* of course B-shop is "oldies". The new stuff is called vocal jazz :-P (Ok it's not exclusively a capella, but the best stuff is) But whatever, it's singing something, which is more than what I'm doing, so I'm jealous of you and George (and others who I'm forgetting at the moment, there are lots of B-shoppers in this group)
"I hope you enjooooyyyyyyy..... my new boxed set."
i would beg to differ with the "vocal jazz" category... contemporary a cappella includes a huge range of styles of music. jazz is one, certainly. but there is also pop, rock, doo-wop, gospel, traditional hebrew, collegiate (as i believe they kind of have their own style), and of course barbershop. just check out the huge catalog at mainely a cappella and you'll see what i mean. :)

Doors.. the usual suspects.. lol.. um.. i LOVE A Cappella.. and yes, i admit it. i watched the Academy of Country music Awards last night.. i'd expected to see Steve Azar, cause his website said he wuz gonna be there.. but .. um.. he wasnt>,< .. but Rascal Flatts was.. so cool.. i like anything basically that you wouldnt find anywhere but a coffeehouse or a pawnshop.. so.. i cant really say..

Just met an ABBA fan... interesting group... thoughts on that group?Personally, I love alternative like Weezer and BareNakedLadies. Aerosmith is pretty good too. I listen to jazz too,but if you listen to Fruvous, all these preferences can pretty much be implied. Weird Al too, on the side. yeah...
