Fruhead.com's 2003 Oscar Challenge!

   Discussion: Fruhead.com's 2003 Oscar Challenge!
John J. Ryan · 22 years ago

Okay, by popular demand, I created a Oscar Pool at Yahoo.com.  Go to this link and sign in:

http://moviegames.yahoo.com/oscars

I created a private group called "Fruhead.com".  The Group ID # is 3966.  Password to enter is "petebest".

One more thing:  When signing on, be sure to OPT OUT of the Olay Group they are hawking on this contest, or else you're be getting unwanted mail from that company.

Good luck!

What is the Group ID Number? We need that to register for the private group.

woohoo! :D

Honestly, I found the Oscars pretty boring this year. Even the short films they tried to make to showcase different facets of the 75th anniversary thing were no match for last year's Spike Jonze-directed interviews.

I did watch the Independent Spirit Awards earlier yesterday. Those were fun :)

at least I'm in the top 4

better than last year! :D

*Steps up to the podium and begins to speak* :-)

I am so privileged to have received this honor.  I am in shock, especially given the number of surprises that happened last night (Mr. Polanski for one).  I would like to thank all of my friends and family who have supported me in my efforts to reach this goal.  They have endured my rants that Chicago and Bowling for Columbine (go Michael Moore!) were excellent films and waded through the difficult times that I have had this past year with The One, Men In Black II, and The Hours.

But most of all, I would like to thank my father, for taking me to my first movie in a theater that I remember, Return of The Jedi (I was six), and to Emily, my sister's piano teacher, for re-introducing me to the other two movies in the Star Wars Trilogy and exposing me to classics such as West Side Story, An American in Paris, and The Goonies.  You have given me a passion for the wonderful world of film and movie trivia.  It is to you two that I dedicate this honor.  Thank you all so much!

Now, where's that Adrien Brody?!?  I'm ready for my big kiss! :-)

Ugh, Bowling for Columbine was pure propoganda, and Michael Moore didn't really need to make that stupid speech. He could have kept it simple like some of the other presenters if he wanted to say something against the war.

On the other hand, Chicago definitely deserved to win.

I got home late, but Rod taped the show for me!

I hope we can have this again next year, and that I can get in on the fun! heh!
