i was born in white plains ny, and that's five minutes from where i live now (at school). and brewster is at the very most, 45 minutes away.
I seem to remember having wittier options.... anyway, I chose other, since I didn't ever grow up in the town I was born, but I live close to where I went to high school, and my parents are still there. I love living in BC. I call it home, but the first half of my life was in Ontario, and two years in Alberta...but BC is sooooo lovely, it's got to be home for me! I tend to be a "home is where my husband hangs his NASCAR hat" kind of gal! ~J~ I started out by living with my parents in the same house for 20 years or so , then I lived and and worked in my hometown (North Vancouver btw) for 23 years (except for 3 years when I only worked there). I went to college at the same college as Frulie goes now, except that the college used to be about a block away from where Julie lives now, but it has moved. Now I live about an hours drive from N.Van in the town that Julie used to live in. I would love to find a job and move back to N. Van. but I also like where I am. And I don't know....I think the winds of change are pointing me in another direction, maybe Kelowna, maybe Vancouver Island. I miss walking down the street and almost always running into someone I know, old high school buds or from work or whatever. I too, love this part of the world, the Pacific Northwest in general is a wonderful place to live, and it is gradually getting crowded with Fruheads who think the same. I think Arbie is following me! Or the other way around! lol! best of luck for wherever the winds of change bolw you and Robin! That's cool about the College, I just found that out a bit ago! Go BC Fruheads! ~J~
I "wish" I lived closer to many a fruhead, but I think I LOVE Seattle too! It would be my second choice!

this one kind of made me a bit sad. I mean I have a home town... lives there almost all of my life, but I don't think I've ever had a home. I almost had one... then the rug got pulled out from under me and I ended up bouncing from friend house to friends house... but still no home. I'm almost to the point where I've given up ever finding a place I can really call home. is there really a place I will ever feel that comfortable? *sigh*

Yes, and I think it's a nice enough place, but I could see myself possibly moving elsewhere all the same? *ducks comment from the big-city people who are afraid of the small towns some of us call home*

hate slough. hate it. hate it. hate it. it smells, the people are awful and it's ugly-looking. :P but then, it's all surrounded by berkshire middle-class poshness and english coutryside. and london is a 25-minute drive down the motorway. rock. :)

i love st catharines! its so close to everything... Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Buffalo... and picturesque Port Dalhousie is here, where Fruvous shot 'Down From Above'. yay! Also, St Catharines is famous for two things: We are the donut-shop capital of the WORLD (theres like, bazillions), and we were also judged "fattest city" because we have the largest number of fat people in all of canada! hehe something to brag about ;) jen
>we were also judged "fattest city"
Now you have Springfield USA to rival in the Duff Book of World Records!

I'm currently going to college 5 hours from my hometown...my parents and friends still refer to Rochester as my home, but I'm having more and more trouble doing that... I still *call* Middlebury "school," but I think of it more as "home." :) I don't plan to live here after college, but I don't plan on going back to upstate NY, either.

i currently reside in a college town 30 miles south of where i grew up. i was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. at 4 1/2 i moved to Toledo, OH. I lived there till i went to college down here in Bowling Green, OH. I've never lived in one particular house or apartment for more than 4 years since i was 9 years old (when my parents split up). @whee! now you know. and knowing is half the cabbage.

I don't live anywhere near my hometown. I grew up in Saginaw, Michigan... went to college in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania... moved from there to New York City and now I live in Northampton, Massachusetts. In that same time, my parents have moved from Michigan to New York City, to Manasquan, New Jersey and now to Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (just outside of Philly).
So no. :) You must first create an account to post.
