Japanese prequel to Ring

Note: This is the prequel to the movie remade in America as The Ring.

Original name of the film is Ringu 0: Baasudei. Released in Japan. Ringu 2 tried to answer too many questions left over from Ringu. Ringu 0 goes back to the life of Sadako (Samara in the American version). Miyaji, a reporter, wants to get her revenge against Sadako since she was responsible for the death of her fiance during a public demonstration (Sadako's mother was being used to demonstrate the existance of ESP. A reporter, Miyaji's finance, shouts that she is a fake and Sadako gets revenge by killing him). Years after the demonstration Sadako is sent away to live in Tokyo by her father and start a new life. She becomes part of a theater group and falls in love with the sound engineer. He tries to help her get over her past since people at the theater start figuring out who she is after an actress dies. The only reason I rated this 9/10 is that in the movie it never mentions that Myaji is the fiance of the guy that dies during the demonstration. The confrontation with Sadako's father is also really confusing and the cliff scene is also a bit vague.

Warning!!! If you want to keep the image in your mind that the girl from the well is evil, avoid this movie. You cannot see this movie without feeling sorry for Sadako.
