Review of "Robin Hood"

shut up. i like it.

OK, so it's probably one of the shoddiest movies Disney ever churned out -- it was made in that dark period after Walt Disney's death when the studio really didn't know what it was doing, whole scenes are repeated or lifted from other Disney films, and don't even get me started on the fact that half of these supposedly British characters have Southern accents. But I think you always have a soft spot for your favorite childhood movie, and Robin Hood will always remind me of running around the family room with my brothers, reenacting all the scenes and fighting over who'd get all the good parts. Plus, it's got Roger "King of the Road" Miller as a singing rooster. I mean, really.

I grew up with this movie. Then I made the mistake of watching it as an adult. *sigh* Some things should live in one's memory. 6/10 for old-time's sake. But Peter Ustinov as Prince John/Richard Lionheart was an awesome casting decision.
