Now, I'm one for continuity in movies (if a character has a blue shirt on one second, make sure the shirt's the same color the next time the camera comes back to him). I can't IMAGINE the nightmare of doing continuity on this movie.

If you don't know about it, it's a story of a man with a sort of amnesia ... but the story's told backwards. You know what happens at the end, because they tell taht part first. However, you don't understand how that scene is set up until the *next* scene, which happens EARLIER in time, and so ... aw, cripes, just see the movie to understand it.

Reuniting Carrie-Ann Moss & Joe Pantoliano from the Matrix (Trinity & Cypher), and headed up by Guy Pierce, this movie is solid, if a bit confusing. It bears repeat watchings, to really understand & catch everything, but overall, a great film!

or sorta sideways....

Mollie:

This film is really thought-provoking and fascinating. Know that you will have to have all your wits about you to follow it at all. It's really well-done, with a minimum of inconsistencies for an anachronistic film.

what can be said about Memento? it's one of those movies that really makes you think. and where there is no 'right' answer. I saw it with my brother and we spent hours afterwards talking about it and trying to piece it together. and to me, it doesn't get any better than a movie that you can do that with.
