A video-game-playing teenager is recruited to save the universe

A cheesy mid '80's sci-fi movie revolving around a teenager who ends up saving the universe. He is recruited because of his completion of an video-arcade game. Surprisingly good special effects, plot, and costumes.

Dispite how empty and shallow many things about the 80's were, they had some wonderful children's movies. This is a great example, especually sence it has fallen threw the cracks of movie History. It was the first movie ever to use CGI. And it taught us all and importaint lession, too: Your favorate video game may help you save the universe one day! So keep playing!

Basically the plot to Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game." The best part is that he's recruited by The Music Man.

It even has Wil Wheaton!

Watched every weekend for a year! This movie was so great! Why then can I not find it at ANY video srores..?
