Yes, it's a dark film, but it's also a redeption tale. It has great characters and great performances that will make you feel and think. (Elliott Smith's cover of the Beatle's "Because" over the final credits is the icing on the cake.)

What Mollie said. Dark but ultimately so beautiful. Everyone gives incredible performances. And Kevin Spacey proves that he's not just a taller Harvey Keitel. *snort*

Just an incredible, incredible movie. As a matter of fact, if I watch it again, I'm afraid it may just supplant Clue as the Greatest Movie Ever Made.

This is a great one. It's disturbing to be sure, but it's also very real.

brilliant movie, and I especially like that there's ambiguity and plenty of unanswered questions. I pick up something new every time I watch it.
