Nice poll idea. Usually 8-9 here, but it varies in either direction..
lawrence · 20 years, 2 months ago
my alarm goes off at 7:45. I usually get out of bed close to 9.

Somepeople and i have a long and annoying commute, so we try to be out of bed around 6:20 or 6:30...but the bed's so nice and warm, and work is so icky, that we usually drag ourselves out around 7. :)
Starfox · 20 years, 2 months ago
My wife gets up at 6am to go to her job, invariably waking me up in the process. But I at least get to go back to sleep for a nother 90 minutes. :)
Prinut · 20 years, 2 months ago
My alarm goes off at 6:11 a.m. I hit the snooze button which then goes off at 6:20 a.m. I get out of bed, go to the bathroom...get out around 6:25 a.m. Then I go back to bed or semi-bed until 6:50 a.m. get changed and I am downstairs by 6:57 and wait for my ride to school. Stupid school
ChrisChin is Getting Old · 20 years, 2 months ago
On regular 9-5 (or 9-8) days, which are most weekdays, my alarm clock goes off when it reads 7:11AM, which is really 7:04AM. I have gotten into the habit of setting my alarm clock a few minutes later than the actual time. Not sure why I do this, but if I change it now to the correct time, the world would implode. On days that I have to be in at work later, I adjust accordingly.

I usually manage to roll out of bed a few minutes after I hit snooze, but I rarely hit snooze more than once.

I have to be at work across town at 7:30 AM. I have to be up before 6. *Z* Stupid agriculture.
Doktor Pepski, kommie · 20 years, 2 months ago
I used to have to get up around 3:30 in the morning just to go to work. Of course that era is over now so it's really around 6:30ish
iPauley · 20 years, 2 months ago
Right now, the alarm goes off at 9, and I snooze it for about 30-50 minutes before rolling out of bed. When I start my next job, I fully expect to be getting up much, much earlier.

Some days I work 8-4, some 11-7. Some weekends I attend early morning class to get my degree, some I don't. The trick is remembering which is which. This often leads to a HILARIOUS misunderstanding betwixt myself and my superiors. My life is a sitcom.
Nathan · 20 years, 2 months ago
I only work part-time, and that in the evenings, except on weekends. When left to my own devices, I usually go to bed around 2 or 3, and get up around noon or 1.
Andrea Krause · 20 years, 2 months ago
My alarm goes off at 5:00am. I usually snooze it until 5:30. I like to be on the road by 6:20 so I can be at work by 7am. Whee.
meh · 20 years, 2 months ago
Mondays it's before 6, so I can be in to work early (pay starts at 7) and wash the car down. Un-perk of being a foreman.
Tues-Thurs, it's about 6:30 or 6:45 (again, work starts at 7) - unless our jobsite has us staying home nights, then it's more like 6 or 6:15.
Fridays, we don't work unless we're getting overtime. So my waking up varies between 4am (really, for an overtime job) and about 4pm.
And, weekends not so much a part of the poll, I guess, so nevermind.
Talcott · 20 years, 2 months ago
Most of my temp jobs have started at 8am, but with the bus system and such (Columbus does not have a good one) I usually need to be out the door by 7:15. That means that 6am is my usual wake-up time. I need an hour or so in the morning because if I rush out the door, I never wake up. Right now, my job starts at 9:00 (but with the bus, I get there 20mins early) so I can sleep until 6:30.

When I don't have a job, I still tend to get up by seven or eight on weekdays.
(a bit later on weekends if anyone is wondering)

I was wondering . . . thank you. *Marks down Talcott's sleeping habits in his Talcott-related notebook.*

On whether I'm opening or closing the store. If I'm opening, my alarm goes off either at 6:45 or 7:10, or any time in between.

If I'm closing the store I try to sleep until at least 9:45, that way my sleep schedule's not too out-of-whack but I still manage to be awake and on my toes at 1:00, which is when I normally get home.
Wintress · 20 years, 2 months ago
I wake up before my alarm goes off, right around 6:25 ish. I swear that alarm clocks make a slight noise before officially wailing and that I can hear said noise. I DESPISE the noise of an alarm clock, so I try to wake before it every morning. I haven't heard my alarm in almost 2 weeks now. :) Mmm..

The snooze button is evil. Bruce used to whack the snooze button. Then he associated the hefty bruise and death threats with it and stopped. He can live. Today.

Ugh, I panic if I accidently set the alarm instead of the radio. I always think there's a fire or something. I tend to sleep lightly enough though that waking up to the news (with the volume high) is enough to get me up and about.
Brian Dinsky · 20 years, 2 months ago

I am officially the laziest poster here.. (so far) my alarm generally goes off around 3pm, I usually wake up about 10 minutes before it.. I then get right up, go to the computer and wake up totally before getting ready for work...
on days when I dont have to work, I can and do sleep as late as 7pm.. and I am generally in bed right about the time most of you all are getting up.. somewhere between 5am and 9am.. the life of a slacker.. ahhh....

I am still in school and I take a long time to get ready, so I have to wake up by 6 o'clock every weekday. On weekends I get to sleep in until 7 o'clock, when I wake up for church or a symphony rehearsal. I fall asleep around 11 o'clock every night. Not much sleep for the magical one. *Yawns*
