   Discussion: Tentative Budgiedome Performers
Gordondon son of Ethelred · 16 years, 9 months ago
It is early so this is extremely subject to change but Here are the acts that said they'd play the The Budgiedome.
  • Red Molly
  • We're About 9
  • Anthony Da Costa
  • Hungrytown (Ken Anderson & Rebecca Hall)
  • Chris Thompson (Meredith is up in the air)
  • Phil Henry
  • Chris Merenda
There are a more that haven't confirmed yet but that I'm expecting to play.

Meredith is up in the air

Is she a pilot?

No she's an angel. You never noticed?
Songbill Back · 16 years, 8 months ago
I don't think she knows I know

I just remembered a few more; Hope Machine, and Phil Minissale. I just noticed that the B'dome is going to have a trad feel this year.

That looks really nice and big thumbs up for Hungrytown :)

I saw Eric Schwartz on Saturday night. He knew he knew me, but had no idea from where. I had told him my name (and Yoram's too), and he was appreciative, but it was a while before I mentioned that I was a Budgiedomer. He said something like "That's it! That's where I know you from!

btw - it was a good show (though the opening act was horrible), but there wasn't much of a crowd. Other than the concert series's regular crowd, the only people who came to see Eric were myself and Eric's parents.

So what is it with you going to shows only the performer's families go to? It is just like the DVN cruise. Where was the show?
Andrea Krause · 16 years, 9 months ago
Mightn't it be "Domeative" performers? :)
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 16 years, 9 months ago
The ones from the US are Domestic.

I really need to make a spreadsheet of everyone playing. Here are some more performers.
  • Hope Machine
  • Deni Bonet
  • Friction Farm
  • Amy Speace
  • Jud Caswell
  • Cadence Carroll
  • Mark Berube
I don't want to jinx so I won't mention who I have a probable from.

Mark Berube or Mark Allen Berube?
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 16 years, 8 months ago
There is always one in the crowd. Mark Allen Berube, Carolann's Solebello's husband that played last year too. There are actually three musician's named Mark Berube, The one from New York playing the Budgiedome, one from Canada (I think the Toronto Area), and one from England. Has anybody every heard of anyone else named Berube? Are all Berubes musicians with a first name of Mark? Yes I know that isn't true as Mark Allen's son is named Felix.
Misch Back · 16 years, 8 months ago
Yes, as I well know, there are multiple Mark Berubes.  I remember a certain emcee preparing "the list" and "introduction details" for a certain Mark Berube and getting a wholly different one than expected.

There is a former hockey player named Craig Berube.

I bet his middle name is Mark, and he carries around an upright bass in his spare time.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 16 years, 7 months ago
Doesn't everyone carry around an upright bass?
stealthlori Back · 16 years, 7 months ago
Of course not.  Some people carry around ukuleles.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 16 years, 7 months ago
Wimps! A real man plays a stand up bass like a uke.
stealthlori Back · 16 years, 7 months ago
Nellie MacKay is not a real man.
Nor is Maura Kennedy.
