see, as a dressing I like Italian. but I prefer Caesar salads to regular tossed salads. I just can't see putting Caesar 'dressing' on anything other than just a big bowl of romaine.
I mean, a properly made Caesar salad is really a single unit, rather than a bowl of lettuce with dressing on it. I'm not really a fan of the popular trend of using 'creamy caesar' dressings and such.
(in other words, 'I'm too good for these options. Allow me to explain.' :)

woot!
annie's!
I have a hard time finding something I can have that doesn't have gluten or corn in it. just take a look its EVERYWHERE... not that most people would notice. cause it doesn't say "gluten" it says "vinager" or some other thing and you just have to know that most vinagers(unless otherwise noted) incluse gluten in the vinager making process. and hurling up salad is SO not cool so I pay attention. also: it confuses my immune system and kills random organs. schweeet.
I don't know if it's "more gourmet" but I love balsamic vinagrette, especially from Paul Newman. :o) It's not quite italian, not quite oil and vinegar, but all awesome.
Your post made me think of this:
"It's not quite breakfast, it's not quite brunch, but it comes with a slice of canteloupe at the end."
Oh, I'm a huge fan of plain ol' ranch dressing. But if we want more gourmet, i'll have to pick some form of miso ginger dressing. Yum.
my favorite salad EVAR is spring mix + bleu cheese/gorganzola + walnuts + dried cranberries + raspberry vinagrette.
omgyum.
You know, there's not a single part of that I like. I am such a weirdo.
nnngh, i LOVE it. i usually pick out the purple onions tho.
THIS INFORMATION IS TOO PERSONAL! IT MIGHT MAKE LAWRENCE UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!
jesus christ, you really do enjoy being a complete asshole, don't you?
I have never once seen you say anything appropriate, nice, or friendly to anyone in any discussion on this site. Everything you've said has been mean, nasty, and unnecessary.
why don't you do the whole world a favour and just fuck off and die?
I'm sorry if what was meant as mild teasing hit such a nerve, but I'm really hurt by the hatefullness of your reply.
Why do you feel it neccessary to make fun of someone else? It is immature and rude. You really should know better.
See? Now that's not funny, it's just too obvious, blatant and LOUD!!!
A better approach would have been to talk about using condiments such as salad dressing as sexual aids and then somehow worked an oblique reference to Lawrence into the post.
But just coming off and blasting something like that out, it has not comedic value and I can see why Lawrence would get pissed off.
You are the weakest link (does that show even exist any more except on PAX?), GOODBYE.
I've always dreaded being the weakest link...

I likes catalina best. then french, then italian, then ranch.
I have catalina for my lunch salad today! yay!
what about thousand island?
That...bleh. in a pinch. But it tastes like relish and ketchup and mayo having an orgy.
heee
Yeah, I guess it kinda does.
:)
I just figured if you liked french, you'd probably like that.
I very much prefer catalina....straight french is awful kinda bitey and sharp. I like the sweetness of catalina.
Hee.
Which is exactly why I don't like catalina... too sweet. :)

I'm big on oil and vinegar, salt and pepper.
right now it's usually balsamic but i will always appreciate a malt vinegar and oil salad.
my favorite salad right now is a spinach salad with avocado, mango, tomato and feta cheese in a balsamic and olive oil dressing.
