Vance Gilbert in NJ

Hi everyone! john and I just found out that Vance Gilbert will be giving a show on Saturday, March 5th at 7:30pm in central NJ (Metuchen) and tickets are only $8!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe it? Whenever he plays here in the city, tickets re at least $25 that I've seen. If anyone's interested in going, we would be happy to take you in a carpool. FRUM myself or John (jjrrutgers). EEP!

The Vance show was great! Jenna and I got heckled by Vance for being Russian, and I got heckled for my Russian laugh: "You sound like someone who learned how to laugh from a dictionary! HA HA HA HA HA!!!" He did a cover of "Gentle Arms Of Eden", played that wonderful protest song he wrote "I've Got A Plane" and mocked himself with it, and brought me back to FRFF 2001 with "When Jimmy Falls In Love".

What was even better was after the show they had an afterglow at a local restaurant. We got to chat with Vance show off our dogs to each other. Jenna and Vance danced to the tune of "For Your Eyes Only" and got some songwriting tips from him. What a fun night, just wish it was more attended. Only about 75 people showed in a 500-seat theater.
