Pick me ups

   Discussion: Pick me ups
Gordondon son of Ethelred · 20 years, 5 months ago
We had a discussion of songs to raise your spirits. What other things do you do to make yourself feel better when you are down?

Screaming into a pillow, taking a black sharpie marker and coloring anything around me, and playing Snood.

Go running, lift, swim, fence, or something. Turns off the brain, turns on the cardiovascular system. Then take a nice long shower. Endorphins are the best ever. :-)

but walking is no good. cause you can think & walk at the same time. (i love walking, but it is always a tossup whether it clears my head or makes my thoughts bang into each other harder.)
mim Back · 20 years, 5 months ago

Not if you're blasting Mary Prankster! That puts you in a properly vengeful mood... and it usually turns into a run for me.

Speaking of running, has anyone encountered a genuinely skipfree CD player? I've had a Panasonic thatwas lousy, and now I have a Philips that blows goats as well. (I'm poor, so I can't buy a snazzy iPod...)

I make my own songs up when I walk. They aren't good but they have a good beat to walk to.

i bought a nike/phillips flash based 128mb mp3 player that's great for running, it was on sale at radio shack for $80. much cheaper than an ipod, and unless you're going to run for like, 3 hours, you should have plenty of songs :P
