I have runners sending the bits back and forth but I'm upgrading soon to bike messengers. They say I'll be able to send and receive up to 3bph then.

Maybe some day you'll upgrade to Carrier Pigeon Internet Protocol

Hopefully you won't have to clean up the dropped packets

when last this poll was posted, about 2 years ago, 34% of people were still on dialup.

Now we're down to... so far... 9%.

zip. zilch. nothing. i dont even own a phone line - if i did it'd be cake because i *work* for a dialup company.

you'd be surprised what i can live without :)

right now i have:

no phone line. no computer. no cable. no cable modem. not even any fuzzy rabbit ear channels. no car (i have access to a car but its not mine).�

i have a cell phone. that's it :)

I know many, MANY people live with less, but as someone who always had at least one of each of the above things (except for cable tv, i havent had that since i was 18 - so 7 years now), i kind of amazed myself how much i don't need them.

the car thing, i'm just fortunate that i live and work with my significant other.

for about two years now and I'm absolutely satisfied with 100% reliability/availabilty within the last 18 months if I do the math right...
