does anyone know anything about Pacer Systems MOS? puter from the 80's I think... the printer uses the kind of paper with the holes up and down the sides...
Geoff · 20 years, 8 months ago
Tractor feed paper. Doesn't help really, 'cuz EVERY printer used that paper in the 80's. What's the matter?

warning: daily totals not cleared

warning: daily concession report not printed

warning: download data base and program

thoes were messages on the printer. so I tried to do thoes things... and it would keep saying that I hadn't. stupid POS.

after much growling and taking apart of the front ticket terminal and disasembling the ticket printer and re-assembling it I picked up the puter about 5 inches off the table and dropped it. it worked after that. lesson? don't test me, I'll make you my bitch.

Probably the direction I would have gone. Ever consider a new POS system? One that's not an antique?
zil Back · 20 years, 8 months ago
considered it? hell I consider it ever day and dream about it whenever I happen to sleep! the people I work for wont buy a new system for this buisness... so we use this freaking piece of shite.

Wait, Zil... POS has two meanings in your case... do you mean Point-Of-Sale (like a cash register thingie) or a Piece Of Shiite?
zil Back · 20 years, 8 months ago
