I put it as athletic because I think that is less ambiguous. I was about to make a joke about Bridge being my sport then saw your post. It was an Winter Olympic demonstration sport in 2002. That doesn't make bridge players athletes though. I know I'm not athletic.
I will personally crush anyone who dares challenge me in the noble game of foosball. Be ye warned.

...a LOT on the sport. I consider myself fairly average as far as general athleticism goes (at least I get an A for effort!) but anything involving hand-eye coordination...well, let's say it requires an extensive warm-up for me. ;) Also, any sports involving appendage-eye coordination (think tennis, lacrosse, softball) is pretty much out, for some reason.

I'm no good with the competition, and the continuous movement. HOWEVER, I do enjoy the round of disc golf now and again. And if you think disc golf isn't a big deal, check thisout. But that's the only thing I do, aside from moving sound equipment before and after shows, so I voted for "I don't embaress myself." Because the LAST thing I want to do is embaress myself. That would be so embaressing. *cough*

ok. i'm a pretty good swimmer. i'm not half as fast as i was when i was swimming competitively, and even then i wasn't especially fast, but i'm apparently quite strong and graceful about it. which. always amuses me when people say it.
but out of the water, i'm the slowest, most uncoordinated loser around.
Heehee.
Not joining the swim team in college was an excellent decision for me, because now I'm the best swimmer I know (whereas on the high school team I was "slow"). ;) And, I always had coaches telling me how good my stroke was since I wasn't so good at the speed thing.

I hate team sports. But I kick butt at tennis and (sadly?) golf.

I used to play sports in high school. I'm all about any sport where I can play defence. Let everyone else go chase the ball/puck around - I'll be here guarding the net. :)

if it's something that depends only on my ability to move myself around... like swimming, dancing, martial arts, boxing.
i can hold my own. if it's something where i have to utilize equipment or regularly make contact with a foreign object, hockey, soccer, tennis... etc. i suck. big time. i be teh useless.

I am pretty athletic. And pretty. In most sports I can play decently enough to be about average in my classes, with some exceptions where I excell. I played frosh basketball this year, but I am beginning to drift into running sports like track and cross-country running, mainly because they involve your fitness and not so much your ability to master little things like shooting three point shots (which I suck at). In fact, just today I particpated in The Relay For Life, a cancer research event. I ran over fifteen miles over the course of 24 hours. Yay for fitness!
