New Spam Tactic

The spammers have finally found something that actually makes me open the spam. They make the subject line "returned mail: see transcripts for details." I know that it is probably spam but I do get returned mail now and then and I want to know when that happens. I'm trying to train my mail reader to weed out the spam, I haven't succeeded yet.

Yeah, that's made me open the messages a few times. Hotmail says how big messages are, though, and these spam messages tend to be incredibly huge, so, if I notice that beforehand, I don't open them.

Consider a bayesian-based spam filter then. There's lots of good ones.

But, even training those ones take time. Be patient.

Mozilla's filter is bayesian right? that's what I'm using.

Yup... that's bayesian. Mark it junk. Give it time. It should pick up on it eventually.
