This is from the WA9 Mailing List: ---------------------------------------------

Hey Friends,

Very exciting day for us!

http://www.usatoday.com/life/graphics/new_song/flash.htm

The above is a link to a really beautiful multi-media presentation on the USA Today website.

Katie and I (Brian) are both prominently featured in this, which is flattering since USA Today is one of the world's most read news sources. But the thing that's really got us choked up his how beautifully crafted this presentation is, and what a great contribution it is to the promotion of the genre.

1. Katie is featured in the main presentation, "SING MY SONG."

2. Brian is featured in the "ART OF SONGWRITING" Documentary (click on the Art of Songwriting tab).

3. We're both featured in the "SOME OF THE MUSICIANS" profiles section (click on the "Some of the Musicians Tab") - including lyrics and solo performance, live recordings of "Slow Sliding Funk" and "For One More." (plus a really cool lyrics display and more).

4. AND you're given an opportunity to vote for your favorite song from a list of the top five winners from the New Song Festival. One of those songs is "For One More." All of these are great songs, and I recommend checking them all out - and then vote for whichever one you like best. If you like mine best, then yahoo:) They will publish the results on Friday, which means more great publicity for us should "For One More" end up the big winner. To vote - click on the "YOU PICK THE WINNER" tab, and then click "vote for your favorite performance now."

MORE PRESS:

Also on the new in the news front - Baltimore friends can find a review of We're About 9 in GayLife Magazine. And everyone can read everything they ever wanted to know about Brian in an interview with our friend (and favorite genius) Jonathan Ratican http://www.crunchable.net/03/1110.shtml. We're About 9 is glowingly reviewed in the October issue of Singer Magazine, and will be in the Winter edition of Sing Out! Magazine (which I believe is available soon). We were also heard all over Baltimore performing and interviewing on WTMD 89.7 www.wtmd.org last week. So much thanks to the folks who have done so much to help make this happen for us!

p.s. for a good laugh - play the "For One More" track, and listen at the end. I start to say "I've been We're About 9" and then realize that it's just me, mid-sentence. I end up saying something along the lines of "I've been weird Brian." I love my job.

I would have ranked it:

1. Brian Gundersdorf - "For One More"

2. Kathy Hussey - "The Same Mary"

3. Katrin Roush - "Present Moment"

4. Christpher Smith - "Gravedigger's Boy"

5. Teddy Weber - "Nashville, Don't Touch My Country Music"
