um. does anyone have any rilly GREAT cookie recipies? because i've been dying to make some cookies/flapjacks/general baked goods for liek, months. and apparently you north americans are fond of your baked goods. :) or, y'know, just use this forum to tell me your favourite cookies, so i can go find recipies for them. :)

oh, and on a similar note, does anyone remember the lyrics to the 'c is for cookie' song? :D

*watches as this forum gets kicked off the main page and into the depths of forgotten forum-ness* :D

oo.. you just can't go wrong w/ those peanut butter kiss cookies. ok, i don't know what they're called, but they're the peanut butter cookies w/ a hershey's kiss on top. they're my favourite holiday cookie. the recipe (and conversion charts) are here

i'm not much of a cookie person. i think i'm going to buy a bag of oreos for the exchange at work this year. :-)

Well, my favorite cookies to bake are your basic drop cookies with lots of butter and brown sugar (fat may be had for your, but it sure tastes good!). Quaker Oats has a very good Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Recipe, which I can easily find for you. I also have baked a Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookie that I'm fond of. Both of these have made appearances at FRFF.

*blush* Thanks. I'm really glad everyone seems to have liked them -- there will be more (and possibly of at least one additional kind) this year at FruCon, I think.

And even if I want to share my "secrets"... I've been verbally and firmly disallowed from sharing the recipie to the Pirate Cookies. I might be able to slip directions for my experimental Oatmeal cookie version to a few people, but I can't do that until I've made them at least twice more, and finished tweaking. Something wasn't as good as it could've been the first time.

my father's chocolatechipcookies are known throught the colleges of Elmira and Fredonia and Camp Stella Maris (10 years ago). In fact when ever i talk to my old college roomie it's never "Hi How are you?" its "So has your dad made any cookies lately?????"

Unfortuntaly it's a secret family recipe and if i told you i'd have to kill you ;-)

This isn't a cookie or a cake but as its name indicates it is bread with chocolate. It is also heaven on earth. I never made it myself but I've tasted Christine Lavin's. I'm still drooling over it. Christine actually wrote a song that is the recipe for a more traditional format go here

This is how Christine makes it now after tweaking the original recipe. When she went back and compared she found that she had exactly doubled the amount of chocolate and butter used. Christine knows what's good.

We made cookies like this a lot when I was growing up. Love 'em!
