Yay for the credit union! so few companies put their values ahead of their proffit these days.

yeah..those were my thoughts too.

I know the church has to make a stand...but I thought this was an interesting way to go about things...

No it doesn't. The Church has to realize that it's being ridiculous, that it's policies regarding gays are wrongheaded and harmful, and that they've got to evolve or frikkin die out.
