Poll: How should spammers/spyware makers be punished?

I'll go with the acid solution. I don't think sterilization is necessary, if you know what I mean.

Weak acid takes longer to dissolve their flesh.

See I had a hard time because I don't see spammers and spyware makers as being on equal ground. Spammers are a malicious nuisance but I don't see them as criminal in the same way as things dealing with spyware. Something actively tracking you and spying on you and taking information from you is something that is done to you...I'm not explaining it well...argh. But spammers can only hurt you (that I know of) if you're gullible, beyond the annoyance of loaded email and bogged networks.

No I totally agree with you. I don't see them in any comparable. That's why I put other down.

As for spammers I think if they are caught they must publish their home and cell phone numbers and be forced to accept all collect calls to them.

They need real pain! Acid eats very quick, not enough time for pain to set in. I think maybe they need to be hung by their body parts via meat hooks or something just as painful. and let the weight off their bodies tear at their skin. If it's not painful enough, add weights to the person and put salt on the wounds. Then maybe an acid bath.

It's a weak boiling acid, though -- it's slow acting, more painful. :)

If I'd solicited advertisement mail intentionally, fine, but if you just happend to find my name and just flood it with mail hoping I'll buy your product, you're a waste of oxygen. :-P

How about, stiff fines, prison time, forced sterilization, AND submerging them in a weak boiling acid solution. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!! not only that but castrate them with a rusty hack saw while in the acid, aplying sodium freely

I think that after their forced sterilization, they should be forced to read countless emails about making their... equipment... bigger, better, stronger, and faster.�� Not that I'm evil...
